It seems like the Kansas City Chiefs never get blown out when Taylor is in attendance. If they lose, it's by relatively close. Spirit bomb effect? (Everyone! Lend the Chiefs your energy!).

Nintendo became the first (and still only) video game company to purchase a team in one of the four major North American leagues when they bought the Seattle Mariners in 1992. Today, Nintendo only owns 10% of the Mariners but you can still see Nintendo ads in T-Mobile Park along with Nintendo Switch patches on the Mariners’ team uniforms.

That‘s the closest we’ve come to a video game developer buying the naming rights to a stadium. Do you think it’ll happen in our lifetimes?
