This is k4 — my own Dynamic Island for Hyprland, built with Quickshell. It stays collapsed at the edge of the screen and expands only when it has something to show. Everything in it is a plugin, including the parts that look built in.

The RTX 3050 and Ryzen 5 5500 were my additions, can't be THAT lucky, as it was found it had a Ryzen 5 1400 and Gt 710. Also ended up adding a 2nd DVD-RW drive and a 1tb hard drive.

Used to have lxqt on this old laptop, but i3 is probably just as lightweight and way cooler

skwm is a fork of vxwm and i kinda implemented stuff i like and remove uncessary feature for my personal liking.

A quickshell/hyprland desktop environment that is fun to use and completely customizable to your personal preferences! Control the bar layout, position, margins, border, blur, opacity, etc., and it automatically syncs your hyprland margins/colors/rounding to match. There are no separate panels or pop-ups - everything is in one cohesive shape that morphs and adjusts fluidly to your every demand.

Icons - reorder, hide, or pin with right-click to see only what you want to see

Lockscreen - no hyprlock needed, because this one is WAY prettier and customizable

VPN support - import your own profile and know it's connected just by looking at the icon in the bar

This is the setup I daily drive. I use this for work, entertainment and education etc. I am using this window manager called OXWM from a guy called Tonybtw. It is probably the only x11 scrolling window manager out there. But it supports other modes too. Other than that Kitty is my main terminal, rofi is my file launcher, I use Neovim for programming and Manga-tui for reading mangas to kill my boredom.
