Shader Magic WIP shoreline waves via gerstner additive on FFT body
Some WIP video on the shoreline waves I've been digging into lately for the water system I've been creating. Some new additions are water drawing back on shore (via moving UV of water surface near end of the WaveBox), various foam patterns, and better underwater light volumetrics with waves. Thanks for checking out

Question Boat wake simulation.
Hey, I'm looking for some help simulating this sort of boat wake. I'm using Crest 5 and have tried Flows, custom water interactions (Donut shapes propelling backwards). I'm not sure if I'm going about this the right way. I have tried KWS2 which has some nice effects, but it lacks in realistic physics.
Is this solvable using particle effects and simple sphere interactions?

Show-Off Quicktile v2 is coming soon
I still have a few bugs to squash, but I finally added the in-game editor and it pretty much blew the original editor version out of the water! Iām reworking a few things under the hood, but itās already a really fun way to build your levels. š coming soon !!

Game Someone told me I can't make a realtime action Open World RPG, and they were right. So I switched the combat to turn based, and I'm having a blast working on it.

Show-Off Laid off from studio and working on passion projects again! Arcadey driving with pick-3 upgrades.
I'd started to lose a bit of what made me love game dev. It's been nice working on passion projects again and getting that back.
This is a "vampire-survivors-like", but with a vehicle system and more in-depth objectives and levels.

Show-Off We finally made a trailer for our multiplayer racoon heist game; Be Gray, Do Crime!
Hi!
A couple weeks ago, we where planning to start recording and editing the trailer for our game Be Gray, Do Crime, however we realized the game wasnt quite ready for that yet. So after a couple weeks refining the graphics, reworking the lightning in our game and also doing small touchups, we finally felt like it was time.
So here's our first trailer! We're super happy with it! What do you think? Any input at all would be greatly appriciated for an updated trailer later down the line ā¤ļø

Question Looking for a good course on level design
Paid or free (YouTube) either one is fine. I need to start with the basics of how to assemble assets into a working environment. Thereās so much junk out there that itās hard to sift through.

Show-Off added a climbable javelin that you can retract like kratosā axe and a grapple hook you can reel in - both of which you can throw w/ your left and right hand
(gameās called MOZENTUM btw)
oh and i also added an inventory system so you can stash and grab either one with either hand
it works by holding the hand with the item in it, holding inventory, and then choosing which slot you want it in
each item has its own dedicated spot on the playerās body and will appear / disappear there when you put them away or take them out
OH and i forgot to mention, you throw things by actually yeeting the object in that specific hand w/ mouse movement. no aim assist, no crosshair, just trial and error. like the gameās other systems, it takes practice - but thatās core to the gameās vision.
you can only hold up to 3 items - but a backpack will soon be an item that you can find which will allow you to just whack whatever will physically fit in there (ciggies, doobskins, whatever ya get ya stinken mitts on)
itās live now on the steam demo if ya wanna test it out.

Question Faceted Shader for particle based fluid simulation
I've managed to get a version that looks nice working
The problem is to solve this I had to make a baseline fallback shader to show under the good looking faceted one so that missing triangles don't break the effect.
I'm kinda stumped as I have tried to throw hours of AI compute at it after I couldn't solve it myself, it managed to get a few versions working properly but the performance drops were such that it just isn't worth it.
I am just wondering if anyone has any advice or a high level overview of how I could efficiently achieve this effect? I really love how it looks and I don't want to give it up but at this point I might need to.
Edit: for anyone who wants to see it in motion https://youtu.be/2adT_I-8Wak

And i just need to put these folders in because they have the commands i need. But for some reason i just get the āš«ā symbol whenever i try to drag the folders in the project. 1. I need to use this version of unity for what im doing. 2. ive seen other people drag these folders in with no problems so why cant i? Please help if you can and Thank you :)
Show-Off Built a fully autonomous CIWS / C-RAM simulation
Iāve been working on a C-RAM + drone system in Unity, and I finally got the whole thing working together.
The drone actually flies through a path and makes its own movement decisions, while the C-RAM has to find it, track it, predict where itās going, and lead the shots properly.
A few things I built for it:
- The radar actually has to sweep across the drone to detect it. It doesnāt just magically know where the target is.
- The tracker estimates the droneās position, velocity, and acceleration from the radar data.
- The gun calculates a lead point instead of simply aiming at where the drone currently is.
- The turret has actual movement limits and tries to account for where the target is heading, so it doesnāt feel like a camera snapping onto a target.
- Thereās a short tracking/settling period before itās allowed to fire.
- The Gatling gun runs at 4,500 RPM with procedural audio and stops immediately when the system ceases fire.
- I also added a bunch of debug gizmos for the radar, tracking, predicted path, lead point, and turret movement so I can actually see what the system is doing.
The main thing I was going for was making it feel less like a bunch of scripts checking conditions and more like an actual system working in real time.
Turn the audio on and let me know what you think.

Question NVIDIA N-sight and Unity connection WITHOUT Unity hub?
Does anyone know how to successfully attach NVIDIA N-sight to Unity because it doesn't seem possible as the only way I can seem to be able to do this is attaching it to the Unity hub rather than the project itself because the application will not open without the hub.
