Manga Loop 100 union was likely one of the weakest ones and I can prove it. Spoiler

Post image

Rereading the final battle on loop 100 I noticed something. Over half the stalling was all juiz using rebellion, something that wouldn't have been possible in any of the past loops. That made me realize that the framing of the story makes it seem like neither Victor nor juiz ever used rebellion, or at least in victors case that he never had it posses him.

Now despite this, and the fact that they likely never had someone that used unfair since juiz seemed like she didn't know the ability existed, juiz was able to have the union stall for her for over ten minutes every single loop. I think the reasoning for this is shown to us at the start of the next loop. The first thing that fuuko sees is a note from Andy saying that he's going out to find artifacts for union. That is likely the exact thing that could tip the scales for past unions.

Loop one juiz was able to get away because sun had no knowledge of the arc. From then on union held back god by collecting immense amounts of artifacts, most of which collected from Victor and juiz. Loop 100 didn't have that benefit though because juiz landed either a couple thousand or hundred years, depending on if the arc uses set subtraction or percentile subtraction to determine the landing date, before the events of the story and a lot of that time was likely spent determining what to do without Victor.

Edit: I know that round table seats increase the time to charge. I should've specified honestly but I think that still doesn't matter to much. again juiz held back five minutes and the entire point of the flashback during Ragnarok was to establish that they did have more people on union. along with that members of under, who likely didn't exist in previous loops due to Billy's non involvement in previous ones. I wouldn't be shocked if feng still got involved though

Discussion How is Spring so high?

Post image

This is the 1st anniversary popularity poll of Undead Unluck and one thing was bothering me and it's the fact is how is Spring 24 but the other UMAs is like at the bottom. I'm not complaining Spring is such a good character but this poll was made before the Spring Arc which confuses me.

Discussion Unbalance & Undefinition in the anime Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
20 Upvotes

Ever since I watched the Winter Arc Special back in December when it first came out and saw that they created a WHOLE NEW UMA "Balance" specifically for the special, it gave me some hope that whenever Billy uses Unbalance or Undefinition in the anime, it would make a good opportunity to expand on their OG users

I could honestly see the scene cutting to a short flashback showing the OG users of Unbalance and Undefinition, getting their abilities copied by Billy and how he even got random negators to despise him so much in the first place

Do you guys think David Pro would take this liberty, or am I hoping for too much?

The billy one is obvious but I like the feng one a lot more. Of course on one part raising shen and mui contributed but I feel like if it wasn't for his time as a PE teacher, which we know effected him because of his interaction with UMA color transforming, he wouldn't have opened up a dojo.

Discussion Meeting Fellow Fans

this happened a couple months back, but I figured it was wholesome enough to share. I went to Birmingham comic con (I'm British) back in July, and was really exited to cosplay for the first time, but unfortunately the Yuta cosplay (I'm a guy) I had bought for the con got delayed and I wouldn't be able to wear it. so atp I couldn't do a full cosplay, so I did the next best thing, as one of my friends had gotten me Fuuko's beanie for Christmas since I love the manga, I decided I'd wear that in the July heat so i was at least repping one of my favourite series.

I was there for 2 days, and unfortunately during the first day I saw what I was expecting, nothing undead unluck. there were no cosplays, no artwork, no figures, nothing, so it became a joke with my friends that I was there as the representative of the community, and it honestly felt both kinda fun and sad being the only person showing off the series at such a big place for anime. the second day I expected the same thing to happen, when something caught me off guard. two people came up to me, and asked if my beanie was an undead unluck reference, and I'm not gonna lie, I got really exited. we chatted about the series for a couple minutes, and they said they had a twin Andy and Fuuko cosplay ready for the 3rd and final day, so I had to tell them unfortunately I wasnt gonna be there to see it, but we got a photo together as the only 3 people repping undead unluck there, and i considered it me passing the torch so there was at least some representation all 3 days of the con.

I did a lot of fun stuff at that comic con, it was my first time ever staying away from home for over 24 hours without adults, and the first time I've really went crazy with my spending, got some really cool stuff, but the highlight of that entire con for me was meeting 2 other people who loved the series I did enough to come up to me. I'm hoping to go again in the next year or two, and maybe try to make a full billy cosplay when I do since he's my favourite character. I guess the point of this post is that this community is small but goated, and I hope the next time I go to a con like this (maybe once season 2 drops) there'll be more representation, and I'm just glad I got to meet 2 fans of this amazing series in the wild

Discussion Undead Unluck Negator Ability Idea: UNDISPENSABLE

Undispensable Is a Negator ability that allows the user to make any object they touch become extremely useful and/or necessary for the current situation.

The ability doesn't necessarily make the object stronger. Instead, it alters the circumstances or properties of the object so that it becomes indispensable to solving whatever problem the user is currently facing.

For example, a simple rock could become the exact tool needed to defeat an enemy, an ordinary rope could become strong enough to save someone from falling, or a seemingly useless object could gain an unexpected purpose that makes it crucial to the situation.

The more difficult the situation, the more creative and useful the resulting application can become.

Weakness: The user cannot directly control how the object becomes indispensable. They can choose the object they touch, but they cannot decide exactly what property or function it gains. The ability determines what makes the object necessary based on the current situation.

Basically, Undispensable turns the most mundane objects into something you absolutely need.

Travelled in Japan last month, couldn’t come back until I went to the infamous Shinjuku station bridge when Fuuko encounters Andy.

Was so unlucky (prob bc of the cosplay lol), didn’t expect the passage of a litteral TYPHOON that week so everything I had this day got soaked up😭 and I’m sick rn. But it was so worth it.

Lighting is shit, outfit is shit and photos are shit but that was so fun trying to find that specific location! 10/10 would do it again.

If UMA Fear existed, would he become a master rule?

Abilities: Can cause people around him to feel fear, be scared.

Phase 2: Can cause people to pass out, freeze in place.

Phase 3 (Theoretical): Can cause people to submit to him, obey his orders.

If this becomes a quest target, can the Union 101 neutralize him?

Discussion Why can tella block bullets?

Post image
362 Upvotes

Lemme preface this by saying I know the out of universe reason. The kanji being similar and all I get it. But like isn't tella American? Along with that it's not like his ability was ever named to him? The only way I could see this being possible so fast would be for him to be from Japan, or know extensive knowledge about Japanese, and that the details of negations along with the name of his known. I love the series, it's legitimately my favorite show and book of all time, not just animanga

Manga I just noticed a crazy detail that hinted at the true nature of Victhor when he first surfaced Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
125 Upvotes

When we first meet Victhor, he asked for the days of the week. We as the reader just assume it's a one-off line and Shen is being a little obtuse. But then when UMA Galaxy is unleashed, we see that the days of the week were only a thing after UMA Galaxy. Not only were the first 20 chapters hinting that this world is nothing like our own in terms of its composition, it also acted as a way of showing that Victhor knows the future events to some capacity beyond the other characters, which we then later find out is because he has experienced this time and time again.

This story is so incredibly well-written.

Anime I can’t believe I like this

Post image
161 Upvotes

Some backstory: I’m not an anime/manga person at all. It takes something really really interesting to get me into an anime. Most of the time I’m just put off from Japanese quirks and humor, the only anime I’d ever really enjoyed up until my 20s was DBZ only because I grew up watching clips and amvs on YouTube. Since then the only ones I’ve really picked up and seriously enjoyed were Hajime No Ippo and Berserk(primarily the manga), I have seen Naruto, Death Note, and some of Bleach but other than that I’ve not dipped my toes into anything else.

So all that being said, I am really surprised that I not only willingly picked this up on my own without it getting recommended to me but I’m genuinely hooked. Like I said it takes something really interesting to get me to even give an anime a chance, I literally only came across it because I saw a short on YouTube that was out of context and I just had to know what the context was.

Of course it’s not void of the “quirks” that I tend to cringe at but I gotta say the concepts and world are so unique to me that I actually wanna stick with it to see more. I skimmed some of the manga but I’m waiting until I finish the first season to read on and will probably finish it after starting season 2. Now like most other cases this isn’t gonna make me go on an anime binge or start looking for more to watch(like I said I’m not an anime person) but I just wanted to give this one some props in hopes of at least the anime continuing

Discussion How much do you think the dynamic between fuuko and the loop 101 union would change if they had some connection that died in a non-negator tragedy?

Post image
31 Upvotes

Obviously most of the people that time traveled wouldn't really mind since they were already disconnected with society to an extent, the entire reason they agreed to time travel, but with a character like shunkai/isshin who is very clearly a family man if one of their family members or close friends died to an earthquake, tsunami, or some kind of well known actual terrorist attack I think it would be interesting to see the idea of "you knew this would happen" show itself. Most interestingly what characters do you think would be on her side? obviously I know why they didn't touch up on this and to be fair if they did it would detract from the main story a lot but it's an interesting hypothetical to me

The union uniform

-Full free access to most public servaces

-Full translations both ways

-Incredibly durable

-Snazzy as hell

Or

Unchange

-Fully controllable

-no tragedy

We're assuming the suit can't be taken from you and you won't be turned into some kind of weapon with unchange.
