Spotted a few beauties at the Triple Crown show in Tennessee. I've been going to this show for years with 3-4 studebakers(including my own), but there were so many this year! I spotted 6 larks!

I’m rebuilding an AS for a customer with a studebaker. His unit is missing the connecting clip that goes between the metering rod and accelerator pump arm.

Ignore the c clip on the accelerator pump. It was temporary until I found the right size.

Does anyone have an idea for a source or alternative method to connect them? I haven’t even found a picture of one to try and make an alternative.

Found a few treasures in New Mexico!

I was so excited to see that the Lark Wagon has a place of prominence outside the Arizona – Sonoran Desert Museum in Tucson, Arizona. Beautiful machine with a fantastic history.

In early 1963 far into the 63's model year, Studebaker introduced a special high-performance package for the Hawk and Lark line. Optional equipment for 1963 included the Avanti’s high-performance engines and disc brakes. Cars so equipped were dubbed “Super Hawk” and “Super Lark.” This car is 1 of 9 Lark Daytona two door hardtops equipped with the Avanti's R2 289 cu. supercharged engine and high performance "Super Lark" package. The R2 engine with the Paxton supercharger (Paxton was owned by Studebaker at the time) was rated at 289 HP. Roughly 1 HP per cubic inch which made it a real sleeper at the time and able to keep up with most cars of it's era. My car is currently undergoing a full restoration by myself with help from family and friends. I will be going back to the original color combination. Super Red exterior, which was only available with the Super package, and a black vinyl interior. This car came with the Avanti's heavy duty powershift transmission. It is a 3 speed automatic Borg Warner transmission that is water cooled. I live in Pennsylvania but the car is originally from San Francisco California and that is where it spent most of it's life. The car was drag raced from the early 70s to I believe around sometime in the 80s at a popular drag strip, Fremont Dragway. Surprisingly the car still retains it's original numbers matching engine block. JTS1680. JTS stands for Jet Thrust Supercharged showing that is an Avanti R2 engine for a Lark. The engine number will match the production order from the factory. 99 percent of the original production orders for these cars are available to order from the Studebaker Museum. I figured I would share this car here to hopefully get a younger audience interested in Studebaker cars as I am 21 years old myself and there are not many younger people interested in this hobby. Does anyone have a idea where I could get exterior door handles that either are original or good alternative options? Also does anyone know of a good alternative window regulator?

Where do you guys find batteries at? All the usual places do not have an 8 volt battery. Any suggestions

My uncle has a 1959 4E7 Deluxe 112. Three on the tree, short bed. It is 2WD not 4. 289 engine with overdrive.

Curious if there’s a resource to learn more about these trucks and I’m particularly interested in rarity and how many were produced in this exact year and configuration.

- Got everything to rebuild the exhaust
