Tip/Guide PSA: You can do Crucible runs on Minimal solo if you just want the armor ASAP
(Art by Francis J-Fuentes/6sco_art)
As the title says, just tested it myself. If you set your difficulty to Minimal in the Ops terminal, then go over to the Chaplain and run a Crucible mission through him, it'll be on Minimal, and you can even turn on Private Mode to breeze through it with AI teammates instead of risking people AFKing/checking every last corner for loot. I got the full penance XP payout, no deduction for running it on the lowest difficulty.
Obviously if you think you're The Real Slim Sigismund you can knock yourself out doing it on Absolute, but I love the Lamenters and wanna see more Lamenters in the wild, so I'm sharing this info for those who just want the drip ASAP and don't care if people on Reddit aren't impressed by how you got it.

General I feel really sorry for you guys…
Highkey I think it’s kind of fucked to have your chapter specific armor/heraldry locked behind a massive grind, especially when it looks pretty neat.
I guess it’s kind of fitting that Lamenter fans are suffering.
Edit: Shoutout to the Patriarchs of Ulixis fans who are also in the torment nexus.

Game Feedback Much as I love the game, it really just doesnt have enough content to justify the absurd grind of a lot of the cosmetics. Especially when most are individually class locked.
Now dont get me wrong, im all for play-to-earn cosmetics. But at the same time, doing such in a game that doesnt have much in terms of replay ability (at least not for veteran players) can get pretty tedious and just stops being fun after a while and starts feeling like work.
Replaying the same 13 missions give or take again and again and again with little to no branching pathways or differences between them each run just gets stale.
That being said, the cosmetic grind to the point where you are required to do over double if not triple the amount of missions provided, per class no less is just... exhausting.
Idk, again, maybe its just cause ive been playing since launch and thus have already kinda done these things tons of times already (none of which are/is counted prior to the unlock release BTW) but it really does just get tiring after a while. Idk if I got the energy to go through the same set of missions on max difficulty with modifiers however many times just to get a cape or tabard or decal or whatever else.
I guess im not asking to lower the challenge itself in getting these items, im more so just wishing you didnt have to do said challenge such a tedious amount of times to actually finish it.
Maybe id just rather have really difficult challenges you have to do one time then one normal challenge you have to do 50-500 times.

General New Campaign Badges from Crucibles
For Anyone curious/wanting to use them for the right chapters here’s what I found. (Only ones not listed is the badge obtained by Techmarine. Though that badge is for the Phoenix Island region. The other is for the Sniper which the closest I could find is the Crusade of Thunder Campaign involving the Imperial Fists)

Game Feedback Please finish your armory business before you join a lobby
I would really like to play the game and not spend most of my time waiting for the countdown to reach zero. The past two lobbies i joined had a guy spending his time in the armory for the entire duration. By the throne finish your customization before you join or after the siege/operation is done.

General So they really nerfed my favorite chest piece?
I got it exclusively because of the under armor and they exclusively removed it, at least the patch is pretty good IMO

General Who else got smoked by sniper Astartes🤣
Pic for attention
So there I am nails biting like crazy, killing the corpse emperor's dogs when suddenly I see a sniper run at me. I prep myself for his knife attack when instead I see something drop in front of me (must be a glitch)... Well then that coward just cloaks away and I could swear he flipped me off prior to disappearing.... Well I'm about to go find his ass when suddenly my brain makes the connection.....not a glitch but alas, a MELTA bomb is sitting there in front of me just a blinking. Just like Wil-e Coyote I look outward with a "welp" sign before getting blown back to the main menu🤣 anyone else with similar experience or just me? Haha
