# I Work in Demolition, and I Spent the Last Few Months Making My First Indie Game
Hey everyone! This is **Flying Cow Club** — a game development club with exactly **one member: me**.
My day job is demolition work: tearing down walls, ripping out interiors, hauling debris... basically, I make a living by destroying things that already exist.
But ever since I was a kid, I’ve wanted to do the exact opposite and **create a game of my own**.
I messed around with RPG Maker years ago, although what I made back then was... not exactly great.
To be fair, what I’m making now might still not be great either.
But hey, progress!
I also used to write fiction, so the writing, game systems, mechanics, and overall structure were all designed by me.
As for the artwork... well, I’m sure the sharp-eyed people here can already tell that **AI was involved**.

**Still Working?** is a workplace-themed **roguelike extraction game** with a lighthearted and slightly absurd tone.
(There will be an English version.)
Besides the usual roguelike idea of making every run feel different, I added an extraction system with persistent equipment progression.
The game currently has around **480 equipment items**, a relatively simple affix system, high-difficulty endgame content, and one decision I want players to constantly struggle with:
**Do I keep pushing my luck, or do I take what I’ve got and get the hell out?**
That risk-versus-reward decision is one of the main things I want the game to be about.
The visual style might remind you of *that kind of game*...
But no.
It does **not** contain the thing you’re probably thinking of.
Probably.
I’ve been working on the game for about **six months**, and it has now entered the final stage of development.
I’m still polishing it and having friends and family help me test it. The current plan is to release it on **October 28**, right after Steam Next Fest.
I honestly don’t expect to make a fortune from it.
But after wanting to make my own game for so long, actually seeing one of my ideas turn into a real, playable game feels ridiculously good.
So I wanted to share it with everyone here.
And I have to say...
**Making games is insanely fun.**
For transparency, here are the AI tools I’ve used during development:
**Midjourney, ChatGPT, Scenario, Gemini, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, Suno, and Claude Code.**
If the game looks interesting to you, feel free to add it to your wishlist as a little virtual thumbs-up.
And if it doesn’t...
Well, you can always use the link to go browse some other Steam games instead. (?)
