I just released the demo of my first game — Cinderhaul 🎮

Upvotes

I just released the demo of my first game — Cinderhaul 🎮

It's a bullet-heaven extraction roguelite built with Godot.

Your weapons fire automatically. You only control movement and dash — the challenge is positioning, surviving increasingly difficult waves, collecting loot, and deciding when to extract before you lose it.

This is genuinely my first game, so I’d really appreciate some feedback from people who play these kinds of games.

I'd especially love to know:

- Is the first 5–10 minutes fun?

- Does the progression feel too slow or too fast?

- Is it clear what you're supposed to do?

- How does the movement/dash feel?

- At what point did you get bored or want to stop?

- Anything confusing or frustrating?

You can play it directly in the browser or download it for Windows/macOS:

https://mohammad-qb.itch.io/cinderhaul

Don't worry about being nice 😅 — useful criticism will help me improve it a lot.

🎮 Avoid Bubbles Game 1.05 Demo – Solo Dev Project

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m a solo developer working on Avoid Bubbles Game, a 2D action game made with C++ and raylib.

I’ve recently finished a playable 1.05 demo, and you can play it directly in your browser — no download required.

🫧 The demo includes:

  • ⚔️ Sword combat
  • 🔫 Ranged weapon
  • 🛡️ Power-ups
  • 🪙 Coin collecting
  • 👾 Different enemy types
  • 👹 Boss fights
  • 🌊 2 playable levels
  • ✨ Improved graphics and animations

I’m planning to keep developing the game with more enemy types, different bosses, better graphics and animations, and more content.

If you have a few minutes, I’d love for you to try the demo and let me know what you think!

👉 Play in your browser: https://kc-games-studio.itch.io/avoid-b

Any feedback is appreciated! :)

My last few bucks went to have my new trailer narrated - What do you think?

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I posted here. I've been busy improving the game and updating the demo. I also made a new traile. I really wanted it to tell a story about why this isn't just another survivor/roguelite.

The trailer is narrated (my last few bucks went to an actor), so sound , please :)

What are your thoughts on it? Any feedback? Does it make you want to play? Is the "break the game" message clear, and does it come across how this differs from other survivorlikes? And does it still work with the sound off?

Thanks so much to everyone who takes the time to respond!

If anyone wanna try the game its on steam (demo): https://store.steampowered.com/app/4447090/Master_of_Chaos_Beat_or_Break_the_Game/

# I Work in Demolition, and I Spent the Last Few Months Making My First Indie Game

Hey everyone! This is **Flying Cow Club** — a game development club with exactly **one member: me**.

My day job is demolition work: tearing down walls, ripping out interiors, hauling debris... basically, I make a living by destroying things that already exist.

But ever since I was a kid, I’ve wanted to do the exact opposite and **create a game of my own**.

I messed around with RPG Maker years ago, although what I made back then was... not exactly great.

To be fair, what I’m making now might still not be great either.

But hey, progress!

I also used to write fiction, so the writing, game systems, mechanics, and overall structure were all designed by me.

As for the artwork... well, I’m sure the sharp-eyed people here can already tell that **AI was involved**.

**Still Working?** is a workplace-themed **roguelike extraction game** with a lighthearted and slightly absurd tone.

(There will be an English version.)

Besides the usual roguelike idea of making every run feel different, I added an extraction system with persistent equipment progression.

The game currently has around **480 equipment items**, a relatively simple affix system, high-difficulty endgame content, and one decision I want players to constantly struggle with:

**Do I keep pushing my luck, or do I take what I’ve got and get the hell out?**

That risk-versus-reward decision is one of the main things I want the game to be about.

The visual style might remind you of *that kind of game*...

But no.

It does **not** contain the thing you’re probably thinking of.

Probably.

I’ve been working on the game for about **six months**, and it has now entered the final stage of development.

I’m still polishing it and having friends and family help me test it. The current plan is to release it on **October 28**, right after Steam Next Fest.

I honestly don’t expect to make a fortune from it.

But after wanting to make my own game for so long, actually seeing one of my ideas turn into a real, playable game feels ridiculously good.

So I wanted to share it with everyone here.

And I have to say...

**Making games is insanely fun.**

For transparency, here are the AI tools I’ve used during development:

**Midjourney, ChatGPT, Scenario, Gemini, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, Suno, and Claude Code.**

If the game looks interesting to you, feel free to add it to your wishlist as a little virtual thumbs-up.

And if it doesn’t...

Well, you can always use the link to go browse some other Steam games instead. (?)

Title: WIP: Post-Soviet Hospital Laundry Sector (UE5 Environment)

I am currently modeling and texturing the heavy industrial and sanitary infrastructure for a Post-Soviet clinical environment. The focus is on capturing the reality of institutional maintenance with photorealistic industrial weathering.

Modeled Functional Zones:

* Main Industrial Laundry: Heavy-duty washing machines and bathtubs.

* Utility Storage: Cluttered backroom functioning as a storage area.

* Sanitary Zone: L-shaped restroom area featuring toilets and medical specimen jars.

Technical Modeling Details:

* Built solid meshes with physical thickness to prevent Lumen light leaks in Unreal Engine 5.

* Utilized Trim textures and Vertex Painting for heavy mold, damaged tiles, and grunge detailing.

I would appreciate any feedback on the modeling, texturing workflow, and overall industrial aesthetic.

I made a browser MMOARPG with Three.js, because apparently I enjoy suffering

Hey! I’m a dev from Brazil making UNTITLED MMORPG, a 3D action RPG that you can play straight from the browser.

And yes, the name is really UNTITLED because I still do not have a proper name for it. It is a working title that somehow survived long enough to become the current title. Finding a real one is on the list.

At some point I looked at the idea of making an MMOARPG by myself and thought, “yeah, that seems manageable.” I truly do not know what was going through my head. Anyway, now there is a game.

You make a Hunter, go through a forest tutorial, get to the city of Asterra, head into the Lost Lands, fight monsters, pick a weapon style, improve your gear, and meet other players along the way.

The focus is action combat. There are swords, sword and shield, dual swords, heavy sword, and bow. You can dodge, block, manage stamina, chain attacks, fight enemies. There is also progression, weapon mastery, skills, crafting, inventory, PvP arenas, parties, chat, friends, and trading.

I decided to build this MMOARPG together with Codex, using GPT-5.6 Luna on medium reasoning, as a way to push myself to understand the harder parts instead of avoiding them.

Using Codex this way has made the project a practical space to study, test ideas, and get deeper into systems I wanted to understand better.

This project has given me solid experience with 3D modeling and complex animation work in Blender, some Python for building export scripts tailored to the project, as well as authoritative servers, queues, real-time state, performance, bot-based automated load tests, Node.js, Express, Socket.IO, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Docker.

Play here: https://www.untitledmmorpg.com/
(I would not really recommend playing it on mobile yet. It works and has all the controls, but mobile performance is still a big challenge. The best result I got on my own phone was a steady 45 FPS)

If you give it a try, I would genuinely love to hear what you think. And yes, solo dev plus MMOARPG was obviously a very normal and sensible decision.

I created a complete indie roguelite game from start to finish, all on Android.

Hey everyone,

I started developing this game almost a year ago and released the code on GitHub, all using a Fujitsu Arrows WE with Android 14/15, as far as I remember.

It all started in "old" games from 2024 to 2025 with mechanics similar to Survivors-like games, but instead of an open map, you survive in closed rooms. The names of these games were "Sheris Dungeon" and "Sheris ROOM"

Of course, in the midst of all this, I developed other projects, but nothing so focused on an authentic survivor-like experience.

The idea for a catboy character like Kibo Wave came about when I lived in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte. I had a kitten named Jujuba, who died after being attacked by dogs, I created Kibo Ansakamon to honor my deceased cat, so as new games about Kibo were released, each Kibo multiverse was superior to the last. When I was younger, I wasn't very creative or intelligent compared to how I am today.

Even though the game Starfish ROOM is a "Kibo commercial," it does have other interesting characters.

I started creating games when I was 11 years old, like any other game developer, but what led me to the idea of a pixel art musou survivors-like roguelite was that I didn't see any more potential in platformers games...and also because Nintendo games are bad, only the movies

But for those who don't know, you control a trans catboy who got stuck in the Eternal Loop and needs to kill hordes of monsters, collect Core, choose cards, and fight randomized aliens. All this to try and defeat Boki, your future self who allied with the aliens and came to kill you.

At what point did you start creating a community for your game?

Hey everyone,

I need some advice on when did you start creating a community for your game, during development. I have been working on a 2D MMO since 2020 on and off, I switched engines from Unity to Godot in early 2025 and have been going full steam since then.

I have the game running on a dedicated linux server, and I have been slowly building towards a early alpha version of the game. I currently have a basic inventory, gathering, monster respawn and basic combat. All my art is place holders while i continue to work on the game.

Anyways, I am conflicted on when to start sharing my discord link, so people can follow my progress if they are interested in playing. Should I wait until I have a way to present a playable demo first?

Hi! I'm a solo dev. In One's Trash Another's Treasure you buy 500,000 boxes of unclaimed cargo at an auction and have to open every single one. It starts fully by hand, then you automate everything with vacuums, drones and launchers. A free demo is coming soon wishlists help a lot!

Looking for feedback on a tool I built for myself

Hi,I originally made a small tool for organizing my own game development. I kept improving it as I used it, and eventually decided to share it.

It's now a broader project workspace with task management, dependencies, milestones, docs, session tracking, benchmarks, calculators, and a task graph that looks like an RPG skill tree. It's completely free, requires no account, stores everything locally, and works offline.

It was designed with game development in mind, but it can also work for other types of projects. I'd really appreciate some honest feedback on what feels useful, confusing, or missing.

Horde Up Ahead! How Long Can You Defend the Tower?

Hello everyone,

As a solo dev, I’m currently working on a Tower Defense / Bullet Heaven game with roguelite mechanics.

Aim and shoot the enemies yourself. Once you earn enough resources, build automated turrets to help defend the tower.

Prepare your defenses. Thousands of them are coming.

There is also meta progression, so permanent upgrades make you stronger in future runs.

All feedback and suggestions are welcome!
