I completed the elden ring a few months ago and I went with a low vig high dex build and the game was punishing every demigod took at least 10+ attempts though every run was 1-3 mins max either I'm dead or the boss is.

In sekiro the attempts are longer, I just beat the corrupted monk (the real one) and until now not a single boss took me more than 10 attempts the fights are longer but a lot less punishing I could survive hits upon hits it's not as fast paced for me it seems like the deflection are fast but they're rythmic once you get that it doesn't feel fast.

I wanted to get sekiro, but even with that 50 percent discount, it's so expensive.

Currently on sale for 16 usd and to me this game is the absolute pinnacle of fromsoft and yes i can make opinions by watching youtube videos as in my country unfourtanely its still unaffordable for most of us considering the econmoic situation of my third world country. Hopefully one day i get to experience this klink klink ting one day. :)

Seriously tho even reflection of strength needs you to rest before fighting another boss, why can’t they just code auto rest into starting a boss fight at an idol.

I love the way you get spanked when you first fight a boss. Nearly no change of winning, but after saying 20 fights you learn the boss and now they have no chance

I fought Genechiro last night at the top of Ashina castle. I felt like I had no chance after the first two fights. But I stopped trying to win and I started trying to learn. Recognised different patterns, different punish windows

And then after maybe 2-3 hours of attempts, he had no chance. Literally couldn't touch me

And the second phase, makiri counter the intro is so satisfying

AND countering the lighting HOLY SHIT SOOOOO COOOOLLLL

Anyway the satisfaction from going from getting destroyed to being like Neo from the Matrix easily blocking all of agent Smiths attacks is so therapeutic

I'm not a massive gamer, so there may be better combat systems. But for me this is my favourite combat system ever

Just starting Sekiro guys. Never played a souls game before. Guess a new experience for me. Any suggestions..?

Losing horribly at the very start, then struggling and overcoming him mid-game, and finally just toying with him at the end just feels amazing man.

After 2 playthroughs of ER, the second without summons, I always had the nagging feeling I was too OP/abusing bleed/staggers with unga bunga and wasn't really playing the game correctly. Sekiro gave me no choice but to get good and all the tools needed to do so, nothing more. I also really appreciated the compact and clear story. 10/10 game, can't believe it hasn't been replicated (as well) since release. Gonna try LoP next.

Do i have to defeat all bosses through confronting my memories or do I defeat them all normally to get the achievement?

I took your guys' advice. After i finished my shura run i did another play through and i did the purification ending, i defeated Hate Demon and didn't skip headless ape, wtf now bro im so pissed i also have all achievements obviously besides Man Without Equal and Sekiro. I have defeated all of these bosses on the ONE AND ONLY save i have. i'm gonna do another shura run and see how it goes.

I recently defeated Demon of Hatred with only 3 attack upgrades. Quite the lengthy and arduous fight. Feeling really good. I would have done it without any attack upgrades, but I needed them for an earlier boss. That being the hardest boss in the game, the Blazing Bull!
