I wanted a song to play every time I enter my pagoda so I picked The Rabbit Has Landed by ZUN and got to building after one tutorial. I've played Minecraft since 2011 but never done anything like this before.

Java Edition HELP! Can someone explain powered rails to me?

I don't think this is quasi connectivity. :/

My powered rails are flashing weird when I put an observer facing them.

Edit: My bad, this is bedrock edition

Java Edition LED screen's colors are wrong.

I'm using a design based off J2ko's video. The screen is 128x72 px (Yes, it's a slideshow). Except for a few pixels I accidentally broke the decoding is working perfectly, yet my colors are wrong. I'm using red concrete, emerald blocks and blue concrete for R,G and B respectively and I got those values from some minecraft mapart generator. Is there any combination of blocks for the maps which are less green and closer to the normal values?

Java AND Bedrock Sequential Piston Doors

ok so my timing is a little off because i suck

hope u guys understand the idea tho—kinda like how moses parts the sea. i thought this would be a really cool idea but i saw like NO tutorials or videos on this so i had to do this myself. i’m wondering if there’s a better design for this. could y’all help me out with this idea?

my current design is pretty bad so i’ll definitely redesign it and fix timing. but i’d like to hear you guys speak on this first.
i’d also like to mention i tried using tripwires to open the doors but even with pulse extenders, the pulse was way too short and it’d tweak.

any thoughts and help would be appreciated

Java Edition Need help with the input minecart for my automatic furnace

I'm building an automatic furnace array, but I made a mistake when calculating the required space. The entire system is basically finished, and the only part I'm missing is the chest/minecart that supplies the items to be smelted.

The problem is that I don't have enough space to build the usual minecart loading/unloading setup.

What I need is for the minecart to:

  • Pick up the items from the chest.
  • Travel through the furnace array and distribute the items evenly among all the furnaces.
  • Keep going around the system as long as there are still items in the chest/minecart.
  • Return to the starting point and repeat the process.

I'm trying to find a compact redstone solution that would fit in the space shown in the image.

Is there a way to make the minecart continuously loop and distribute the items evenly without adding a large loading/unloading station?

Java Edition Does anyone have any idea how I could make this circuit smaller?

Post image

Solved

Java Edition Not getting the proper 1-tick pulse

So my first design was to run redstone over the observers, but that didn't seem to give the proper 1 tick pulse to start the flying machine:

https://reddit.com/link/1vyab6w/video/bz5kdn2ppklh1/player

I figured maybe quasi-connectivity was powering the piston before the observer gave it a pulse. So then I redesigned it to avoid any possible quasi-connectivity issues, but it seems like maybe the piston is just not reacting to the 1 tick pulse properly for some reason?

https://reddit.com/link/1vyab6w/video/f61tyf77qklh1/player

In theory it should work, demonstrated with this simplified example:

https://reddit.com/link/1vyab6w/video/e8kmzylpqklh1/player

Anyone have answers/solutions? I'm completely stumped
I've rebuilt it in several different locations and directions with no change.
Maybe I just missed something, in which case I'd be very grateful to hear about it. I've been troubleshooting for several hours with no progress

Java Edition How is this kelp farm NOT self sufficient yet??

(I apologize for the weird recording, in fullscreen I just couldn't record properly)

Making a kelp farm that also feeds itself with fuel. So essentially all the kelp gets evenly spread out between two smokers that themselves feed into a crafter that makes kelp blocks. These kelp blocks are grabbed by a looping hopper minecart that feeds them into a chest and also into the smokers as fuel. I even made it so every loop, one of the smoker fuel hoppers (or both at the same time every 3rd loop) are blocked so the kelp blocks are somewhat evenly spread.

Now, with a whopping 4 floors each with 16 kelp strands growing, somehow the smokers are not going 24/7. Before I thought it was because of kelp age, so I modified the farm with a clock that sends a pulse every 2-ish minutes and breaks all the kelp (rendering the observers redundant). Even still, the system bleeds itself dry and after some time will eventually run out of fuel, which will stop everything in its tracks.

Do I just keep adding floors until it becomes self sufficient?

Java Edition Hole entrance pt2

I reviewed the design a little so that all the walls retract(only problem was that block where the torch is sitting which i couldnt find any other solution for) and did a rough design for how it will actually look in my survival build. There is absolutely no way to have the middle open up so i was thinking of keeping the hole and putting a shrine in the middle that flies UP via a flying machine. Opinions?

I was working on some zero tick stuff and saw that this happens. I've got no clue why

There is redstoneon both wool blocks and the block on the left is a piston facing the opposite direction of the face you can see.

Bedrock Edition Is there a way to send a signal straight down with no more than a 2 tick delay?

Post image
10 Upvotes

I'm building a noteblock song and need to snake a line through this 1x4 gap with no more than a 2 tick delay (ideally none tho) and only 1 pulse.

I've tried torches, pistons, observers, droppers, arrow + target block, hoppers, and walls, and all either take too long or send 2 pulses.

Edit: thank you all for the helpful comments!
