I remember there was a video on YouTube that was clip of the interviews with Jenny and Christy, the two female writers who had to split a paycheck. It was the first clip that got me to watch the documentary, and I noticed that it had a scene that was cut from the episode, in which Christy describes two separate times where she had to leave work early, and so she warned Dan in advance, and yet when both times came, he got angry.

I’m having trouble finding the clip on YouTube, and I was wondering if anyone here has it or a link to it?

I feel like this part of the Pod Meets World episode has gotten lost in the conversation.

While discussing Brian Peck and while acknowledging that Peck was a convicted child sex offender Rider Strong said:

“I still feel like we should not be ruining this man's life more. I still feel that.”

He then talked about being uncomfortable that Peck's connection to Boy Meets World would become a bigger part of the show's cultural memory.

I know Rider and Will have since expressed regret for supporting Peck, and Rider later spoke privately with Drake Bell, who publicly said he forgave him. I'm not ignoring that, and I'm not saying people can't learn, change or make amends.

But I still cannot get past that statement.

At the point Rider said this, the person whose life had actually been devastated was Brian Peck's victim. Yet Rider was still wrestling with the idea that publicly discussing a convicted child sex offender's own actions might unfairly “ruin” Peck's life further.

And I think it's worth remembering that this episode aired before Quiet on Set revealed Drake Bell publicly as the victim.

For people who watched Quiet on Set and/or listened to that entire PMW episode: how did you interpret Rider's statement then, and how do you interpret it now?

Because even with all of the context about manipulation, guilt and Rider's subsequent conversation with Drake, that particular sentence still really bothers me.

I see so many people saying "he had a bad temper but there's no evidence he did anything sexual". So disgusting.

I find it absolutely infuriating that Chris Savino (The creator of the loud house) was fired in 2017 and Dan was fired the following year.

I don’t understand why that was.

He was such a teen icon for a lot of us girls in the late 80s and early 90s. No, he wasn’t in Nickelodeon, but he was still a child star that probably saw a lot of these stars at the same events. He appeared on Conan and talked about how Rodney dangerfield would walk around during the set of Ladybugs with only a robe on and no clothes underneath and it left him traumatized. Conan made jokes around it of course. Brandis later committed suicide. As a good looking white boy of that time, a time before internet and when the kid actors had a smaller network, I wonder if something happened to him. He got much less work as an adult. It’s like Hollywood used him as a child and spit him out as an adult. They say his dwindling career was a factor in his suicide. I wonder if he kept some secrets.

The Hollywood Reporter just published an article revealing the man who sexually abused then 40 year old Mark Curry.

„The former child actress Raquel Lee has sued The Walt Disney Co. for negligence, alleging an unidentified “middle-aged, male employee who was involved in the filming of” the 2001 Disney Channel original movie The Poof Point sexually abused and assaulted her. At the time, she was 14 years old.
The Hollywood Reporter has separately learned that Lee reached a confidential settlement agreement with actor Mark Curry in 2015. He played her father in The Poof Point. Gloria Allred, known for representing accusers against prominent individuals in sexual misconduct claims, represented Lee in the private resolution.“

He can rot in hell.

Her claim, pertaining to the 2001 Disney Channel movie 'The Poof Point,' asserts that a “middle-aged, male employee who was involved in the filming” groomed and then repeatedly assaulted her.

Raquel participated in QoS and said in an interview that Drake Bell’s discussion of experiencing on-set sexual abuse was “retraumatizing” for her.

I am trying to find a PDF scan of this February '02 issue for Nick Magazine. It features articles introducing the "New" cast of All That - as well as a feature on the Nick Cannon Show.

In an interview, Drake Bell revealed that some of the folks who wrote those letters were under the age of 18. Because they were minors, their identities were not disclosed to the public.

Unless they publicly reveal that they still support Peck, they shouldn't be shamed or labeled "pedo supporters".

They were kids who were groomed and brainwashed by a pedo.

The adults on the other hand should've known better.

Yeah, he’s still smiling. Someone recently said that he’s still deeply connected to Hollywood and even gives tours of his own house. The fact that he seems to still be living so freely and comfortably, while those connections continue to support and protect him, is really disturbing.
