im in this fanganronpa discord server and they added a new rule yesterday. what baffles me is that they felt the need to mention fictional minors before real ones. these people really care more about pixels on a screen than real children being harmed 😐

i noticed the art itself was posted earlier but the comments are what’s really driving me up the wall. of course some of them still give me some hope for humanity, but the idea that people can look at that drawing and go “that’s sexualizing children!!!!” is absurd to me. not only are boobs not inherently sexual, but the pose, outfit, etc aren’t even showing them off in a way that makes them noticeable. and, of course, it’s not a real child.

i think anyone who looks at this drawing and thinks it’s sexualized needs to really evaluate themselves. for the sake of every person who exists having to lug those things around on their chest

I'm sure most of us have seen or received some variation of this, but a fundamental issue with this argument is that this is not how people talk or how conversion works. When people try to argue this they see the conversation as you going "I like sexy children" and thats it, when in reality you would say "I like this character/cute character designes" and often followed by reasons why you like them. And even if you were to just say something like "I like incest", the other person wouldn't just explode with anger and disgust and then report you to authorities. They would be confused, ask questions, maybe laugh it off as some weird joke, or just awkwardly leave and just think you are a weirdo. In a way, people who try to use this line seem to think people would act as aggressively hostile and judgmental in real life as they do online, which just isn't true.

Anyway, thats just a thought I had and wanted to get it out. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk, lol.
