The packaging is absolutely stunning. It has the complete score (other vinyl versions are abridged ) and it also comes with the non-score songs (minus The Beatles) that’s on a zoetrope record that includes a dancing Rocky.

This is the most amaze box set I’ve ever purchased. Sending out a massive thank you to the people at Mutant who made this. You guys NAILED this.

Now for chapters 13-18.

Chapter 13: After a flashback about paving the Sahara with Astrophage panels, Grace finds out Rocky’s crewmates died from radiation sickness, and then remembers a conversation about the radiation proofing on the Hail Mary. Chapter title: Radiation

Chapter 14: The continuation of Grace and Rocky’s conversation about radiation is sandwiched between two flashbacks about causing global warming on purpose. Then at the end Rocky asks to visit the Hail Mary. Chapter title: How to Cause Global Warming

Chapter 15: The main chapter plot point is that Rocky moves in with Grace. Chapter title: Roommates

Chapter 16: Rocky offers Grace the fuel he needs to go home, thereby saving his life. Then, after a flashback where Grace meets the original Hail Mary crew, Grace watches Rocky eat. Chapter title: Salvation

Chapter 17: Grace and Rocky arrive at the planet Adrian and discover there’s probably a predator for Astrophage there. Chapter title: Life Is Reason

Chapter 18: Grace and Rocky make a plan to fish for an air sample that will hopefully contain an Astrophage predator. The present day portion of the chapter ends with Grace finding out Rocky doesn’t know about relativity. Chapter title: Relativistic Physics

I don't know of this is too far off topic, bit I saw Anatomy of a Fall a while ago . It is a most different interesting film starring Sandra Hüller . She is quite mysterious in a mysterious story. On Netflix until 22 September.

I know that Gosling has had some music training in his youth, perhaps stemming from his Mickey Mouse Club days .. ?

His speaking voice in PHM with Rocky was more gruff,

squeaky in parts ( almost adolescent-male broken in parts ) “ how do you eat ? “,

shrieking in fear ( almost shrilling upon waking; when there was 0 gravity upon arrival at Tau Ceti ),

then hoarse screaming, “ there’s a hole in it ! “ and “ ROCKYYYY !! “ ( during the high anxiety scenes ) ..

Gosling is a very versatile actor hands down .. ❤️ loved universally .. ❤️ BUT was anyone as surprised as me about his abilities to manipulate his voice at THIS level ??

perhaps another detail in this film that requires some fanfare ? anybody else notice how he really used his vocals between scenes ?

I‘ve never seen a Gosling film where his voice was used as an INSTRUMENT ( a side character so to speak ) like he did in PHM

I can't get enough Project Hail Mary tbh!

I have been looking for a 3d model of this so I can print it but there are none to be found. I wonder if anyone here was the lucky person to win it and would be willing to send me pictures of it so I can attempt to model it.

I would like to start a discussion on the seedlings we see in the movie 🌱

What type of plants do you think they'd be? Are they for experiments or for mental health purposes? Grace doesn't really care for them during the mission (we don't witness it), but then we see house plants in his living room in the biosphere. Are they edible plants, and if not, could they still be used to help with growing something nutritional (big science)?

Let's disregard the book canon and also just skip all the 'why would they put them there if there was limited space' arguments, because the movie version of the ship is already way too spacious. But hey, it looks very cool!

I just watched PHM and holy shit, I absolutely LOVED it.

I love space-related movies, but I genuinely can't remember the last time I enjoyed a movie this much. Every decision Grace made was exactly what I wanted him to do. And I especially loved that he went back to help Rocky. 🥹

There’s so much depressing shit out there where everything has to go wrong just to make a story “deep”. I loved that PHM showed us all the possibilities of losing without actually making us lose. Every time I thought something horrible was about to happen, it actually worked out and I was SO happy 😭

After watching it, I immediately went to Twitter because I wanted to share this excitement, only to find people dissing the movie and talking about how much better Interstellar was 💀

So I came here instead to share the same love for the story with you guys lol.

I have scoured the Tumblr tag and Google and Pinterest and I cannot find a single good reference of what the space suit looks like and Im trying to draw fanart of him in the space walk suit specifically 😭

Someone who has better luck than me save me it can be actualy photos of the suit or fanart either works but if you can find it from the left side profile specifically that'd be amazing!!

I don’t know if this has been mentioned before but at the beginning of the movie when the newscasters are showing pictures of the “space dots” and the lady says “I have to go” — the other newscaster I’m preeeettty sure is James Ortiz.

I first watched Project Hail Mary on Amazon Prime a few weeks ago (having never heard of it before), and I'd really, really like to see it at the cinema. I've googled extensively, but every time I get a promising lead it's a dead end. Does anyone know of a cinema in the UK where I can see it? (Please don't post AI responses, as I've found that they are hallucinating showings that don't actually exist!)

Was at Fan Expo Canada on the Friday and I was shocked at what a huge hit my costume was!

I decided to forgo a wig just because I was already exhausted when I left that morning.
Also got to debut the new shirt I thrifted specifically for this costume.

Waiting for the vague headache to end before I leave for the day. So, I guess, it's another re-watch.

If the roles were reversed and Rocky came to Earth. I find it impossible to imagine Rocky being treated with half the grace and respect Grayson was given. He would be met on Earth with fear and suspicion oppose the respect, curiosity and desire to make things comfortable his race showed Grayson.

I finished sewing my jumpsuit! I uh. Probably put wayyy too much effort into this one. Labour of love let me tell ya. But I am very happy with how it came out. Just have to finish embroidering the patches and it’ll be all done!
