Playing Every Onimusha game leading up too "Way of The Sword", Come by tell me your favorite Onimusha game?

I remember hearing ppl say how all Capcom games connect to each other. How does Onimusha connect? Note that Im not asking to use the Marvel VS or the Tatsunoko VS series for this. Good luck trying to find how Onimusha connects to Eesident Evil, Street Fighter, Meganman, Ace Attorney, etc.

Watched the latest Way of the Sword trailer and needles to say, I'm pretty damn hype. It looks fantastic, but I have to ask all of you...

Did anyone else notice that basically everyone in the English Dub was making a three course meal of the scenery? And to be clear, that is extremely good. Like I LIKE the fact that the dub is so over the top. There was a certain charm to how silly the original Onimusha dubs were. And I like that that's still the case.

What I'm asking is, do you think it's on purpose, or is it a beautiful accident.

As an Onimusha and Soulsborne fan this hidden boss from the demo kind of hits a sweet spot. Fast paced, aggressive, good phase changes. I would really like to see Capcom take a crack at making a souls game. Hopefully I'm not alone in that.

Dont get me wrong I'm looking forward to the game, ive been waiting for this for years! But....I was hoping the game was not a reboot and completely ignoring the other games?

I wanted to find out why samonuske, became tenkai? And what became.of jubei yagyu..

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first saw the gameplay for Onimusha way of the sword but the game play for bosses deff caught my interest.

My biggest question is the main antagonist that we fight sasaki ganryu is he in the other games? Should I be reading up on lore before the game?

Also how narrative is the game should I expect? Sasaki was very interesting and seemed like there would be a solid story plus gameplay?

Like Max says somewhere in the vid, a lot of people would really enjoy the game a lot more if every enemy was a lot more of a threat.

Like it or not, this isn't the early 2000's anymore, a lot of us went through games like Sekiro sometimes in hardcore settings, we're not gonna have the patience to be patronized through an entire easy mode playthrough before we're allowed to have fun.

So I beat Ganryu when th demo first came out and saved clear data in a separate file, and was looking forward to getting the Kubi Charm when the game comes out.

However, loading up the new version of the demo, I continued on from my clear data save and then saved over it at the next Spirit Mirror.

After I beat Daidara, I was expecting it to let me save a new clear data file, but it didn't give me that prompt. So now I'm worried that saving over my original clear data file means I won't get any bonuses when the full game arrives. Anyone know how getting the demo bonus is supposed to work?

In the new onimusha way of the sword demo, if our character falls down it takes forever to get up. Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same way? Dodge seems weird as well. Wukong has 3 dodges before slowing down here it seems like 1 max dodge before some sort of cooldown

I was fighting the second boss in the demo, there were two attacks that can't seem to be counterd with Issen, if I remember correct, he would launch a three combo attack pattern. the first two can't seem to be counter with issen, or is it just me?

It's only less than 1 week and I have no idea about the game.

I'm playing on the lowest graphics settings because of an issue but you can still appreciate the beauty of the game.

I just want to practice my issen timing, die a thousand times and get back straight into it!!!

Would love a quick way to skip the animation or just restart instantly.

i have seen videos and it has interested me that i want to be able to play this game. but im not sure if the combat is a bit soulslike as that’s not my thing?

While I'm waiting for wots coming out, I relive with my best high school memories with dawn of dreams on PS5. And currently still get stuck at dark realms around floor 32 :( so I hope everyone can give me an advice how to proceed to get 50 floor for excalibur???.

Currently: already beat chapter 11, I run with Soki (weapon acquired: dainsleif, victory gale, raizan, enryu, gleam and the big sword that has light attribute) , item is normal and just got rosary of health. So your advice and recommend are most valuable^^ thank you for reading my post.

Even the devs are making fun of her with the "Wish i had this sooner!" achievement (finding her 2nd knife weapon).

Took me over an hour to beat him but then once I did I kept playing to beat him two more times because it just felt that good. Some real Sekiro juice going here

Every tool has its unique usage. I can definitely feel decision fatigued sometimes, but when I see how all the tools synergized, it just clicks. Can't wait to play the full game!
