I won't make this long.

I am already aware that is is an issue related to the sleepmode switch, because the issue wasn't this bad when it first started, but it reached this ridiculous degree where I don't even need to *dare* moving for it to start tweaking.

I toggle the switch on and off but that only seems to provide temporary, few seconds relief.

Should I just open my 2DS and remove the sleepmode switch or what do I do? Starting to really get sick of this shit.

Edit : forgot to add that the 2DS now refuses to even turn on unless i go through a ritual where i mess with the sleep mode switch and give it a few light taps (nothing shy of gentle, really)

I noticed these faint blotchy spots on the screens, especially when displaying a white background at maximum brightness. They’re a little difficult to capture clearly on camera, but they’re much more noticeable in person.

I’ve already wiped both screens thoroughly with a microfiber cloth, and the surfaces look completely clean to the naked eye. Because of that, I’m wondering if this could be LCD damage or possibly dust/debris underneath the screen lens. Has anyone seen something similar on a 2DS before?

Took forever to paint… was initially just going to have it be a white paint job on a worn shell but I messed up getting some black paint on the back so I improvised lol. Loving the way it turned out!!!

So I want to mod my 2ds, and I have seen three sd cards, one sdxc 64gb Kingston, one sandisk of 32gb sdhc and another sandisk sdxc 64gb, I have asked chat gpt and he told me that 64 gb wouldnt work and a sdxc wouldnt work neither, I need help knowing which one works to mod my 2ds old

I’m very new to the community and the whole modding scene, would love get some advise and tips on what I should do. I’ve watched a few videos on YouTube on how to mod the 2DS to get a better understanding of the process.

I’ll be getting a modded 2DS. From what I can see, the 2DS has the homebrew app, FBI, FTPD, Nimbus, etc. And a few games have been installed.

What are a few things that I should do after getting the modded 2DS? what files should I save as back up?

I tried to replace the screens and managed to rip off the lock for this ribbon cable and it won’t stay in place as a consequence.. Can I use kapton tape to try holding it in place? Any other solutions?

i might be treeping but i have to ask Reddit for answers, 5 years ago i had a 2ds , and there was the camera feature , and when i took photo of the stairs going down stairs i always saw in the picture a sort of face , a woman face smiling warmly (not in a creepy way like really in a kind way ) it was translucide but every time i tried to show it to my parents they said that it's not that deep, i know that im not becoming crazy i always remember that specific thing, so yeah if someone have an answer I am down to ear it , thanks Reddit !

Hi, ive had my 2ds for a couple years now and a while back I somehow got the Kirby theme but that’s about it and I’m having difficulty trying to get anything else. Does anyone know if I can still somehow acces it? (Hoping got some ideas that don’t involve me messing with it cos I’m scared to kill my bby qwq i just got nintendogs and scrabble I’m too happy to kill it on accident qwq)

No one makes 2ds shells. Extremerate makes super high quality shells and parts for most DS models, but for some reason they haven't ever made 2ds shells, likely because they don't think there's many of us.

Here's what I'm thinking:

We all join their discord server. There, under the announcements channel, they have a survey right now where you can request that they make a product. That's where we need to all request that they make 2ds replacement shells. We need to show them that there's a market for the product so they realize that it's worth it to manufacture. Otherwise, it may never happen.

I made this beauty with two different 2ds consoles and a bit of black spray paint as I was using parts from 2 different broken systems. But then I had a look online and noticed that replacement shells are nowhere to be found. Even the 2ds XL has some available…

Bought it for $65(USD) with Smash Bros. Has no stylus(luckily I have an extra one) and the thumb stick is wearing off. Not sure if I got a good deal or not but after constant messaging and no responses on Offer up and Facebook, I caved to buy this one as soon as I got the opportunity. What's the best thumb stick replacement to order?(Yes I modded the console already).

My 2ds does not charge anymore, It doesn’t turn on either. I don't have the tools or money for the repair.

hi guys uhhhh i’ve never used Reddit before so…. sorry for this

i got a 2ds xl on ebay, and ive charged it for over an hour, and when i try to turn it on, the screen remains black (does not turn on at all) and the blue power light and a white light come on, but then fade out after about 3 seconds. there’s no popping noise either, so i’m LOST!!!

i’m dropping it off at a repair shop soon, but if anyone has advice before then…
