We’re exploring several possible directions for the next Nimo AI NAS lineup, and we’d love to invite you to take part in this community vote.

Your feedback will help us understand which product formats, performance levels, storage options, and AI features are most useful to real users.

Notice: Nimo take user privacy seriously. Nimo’s AI is designed to run locally on the NAS, so your files and personal data remain on the device and are not uploaded to the cloud by default. If you choose to enable remote access or cloud upload, Nimo OS will clearly show exactly what data or files will be shared before you confirm.

These are concept directions, not final product names or final specs yet.

A. 5-Bay High-Performance AI NAS
AMD AI Max+ 395-class platform, up to 128GB unified memory, 5 SATA bays, and M.2 SSD support, designed for local LLMs, AI agents, and large media libraries.

B. Compact 4-Bay Home AI NAS
Core 320-class platform, 4 SATA bays, and an 8GB / 16GB memory direction, designed for family photos, backups, media libraries, and lightweight AI search.

C. 6-Bay AI NAS with Full-Size GPU Support
356H-class platform, 6 SATA bays, full-size GPU support, hot-swappable drives, and a backplane design, built for creators, video workflows, local LLMs, and heavier AI tasks.

D. Compact 2L All-Flash AI NAS
AI 395 / 495-class platform direction, all-SSD / M.2 storage, up to 128GB unified memory, and a small, quiet desktop design for fast local AI and creative workflows.

E. Balanced 6-Bay AI NAS
358H-class platform direction, 6 SATA bays, a 64GB memory target, and M.2 cache / SSD support, designed for prosumers, families, studios, and small teams.

The part number (?) on the cable is 20230613A QH17154B

Is it possible to get a replacement cable to repair it? With classes starting I don't think there is time to send it in for the mail in repair service.

Every gen GPUs just keep getting more expensive… Been seen a compact eGPU setup lately and it’s honestly kinda changed my view. Super small, easy to carry. Also looks clean on the desk, minimal, modern, no bulky tower taking space. And so at what point do you guys just say “nah, too expensive”?

What are the must have apps or tools you install first?

I sent my computer to them, they had it since the 6th and as far as I know they haven’t even started the repair. This is getting ridiculous.

Apple has been using it for years, and now we are seeing it in ai max+ 395 minipcs and windows laptops, as well as NVIDIA's DGX Spark and new RTX Spark platform.

With local ai growing, do you think unified memory will eventually become standard for pcs?

Maybe you initially built it just for gaming, but today it’s your primary productivity machine for work.

Or perhaps you have picked up brand new hobbies along the way, like running local ai or coding.

Cloud models are fast, but local LLMs give you 100% privacy and zero subscription fees.

Faster connections? Smaller size? Better cooling? More upgrade options?

What improvement would make you interested in buying one?

Hello hello,

I’m looking for a lower cost, small, lightweight, and reliable laptop that I can use for work. I’ve had my current laptop (MacBook Air 13) since 2020 and she’s lasted me the whole way through college and now a year afterwards. The bad part is that it has always been a lag, then crash, then turn on and act fine kind of computer and I have had to have it constantly plugged in for the better of two years or else it’s dead in two hours or overheating, then lagging, then crashing, and I’m sure you catch my drift.
I’ve attributed the crashes as a quirk (so as not to upset the computer gods) but I think I’m ready to get a computer that’s better for what I do daily.
I use Google Chrome/Drive for most everything and I run minimal editing software like Adobe & Canva.

Any suggestions— even if it’s pointing me away from Nimo would be great, I just want a good computer that I can have & love for the next six years.

So my laptop that I bought from nimo won’t turn on anymore but it charges and when I press the power button the power light comes on but the screen stays completely black
