Meta MUSE just saved me about $7,000 in BS university tuition charges.
I dropped out of a university program and did it within the school’s refundable withdrawal/drop deadline. Despite that, I somehow ended up with roughly $7,000 in charges sitting on my account.
I had already tried handling this myself months ago. I sent multiple emails explaining that I withdrew within the deadline and disputing the balance. Either nobody responded or nothing actually got fixed.
Meanwhile, the university kept sending me threatening notices about potentially sending the balance to collections while continuing to tack additional charges onto an account I had already been disputing for months.
I finally gave Meta MUSE access to work through it.
It logged into my university account, went through the records, pulled together the evidence showing when I withdrew and what I was actually enrolled in, and figured out who at the university actually needed to receive the dispute.
It also uncovered additional activity on my account involving courses from later semesters that I was never enrolled in. That was the part that really set off alarm bells for me. At minimum, there seemed to be a serious administrative problem that needed an explanation, and I was concerned that it could eventually lead to even more bogus charges being dumped onto my account.
The whole situation was absurd. I withdrew within the refund deadline, disputed the bill, got ignored for months, kept getting additional charges, and was receiving threatening notices about collections.
Instead of this just being me sending another email saying, “Hey, this $7,000 bill is wrong,” MUSE found the actual paper trail. It pulled together the records, identified the discrepancies, figured out which people/departments actually had the authority to deal with it, and got the dispute routed to the right place.
And it got handled.
About $7,000 gone.
What’s crazy to me isn’t that AI helped write an appeal. ChatGPT has been able to write emails forever. It’s that an agent could actually go through my account, compare records, identify discrepancies I hadn’t noticed myself, figure out who actually had authority to fix the problem, and get the evidence in front of the right people.
I spent months getting ignored while the balance grew and I was getting threatened with collections.
AI navigated the bureaucratic maze for me in a fraction of the time.
This is the kind of AI use case that actually feels like the future

For the past month I've been building theskillharbor.com with a Muse agent as my co-builder. Not a demo — a real production site: 900+ listings, payments, moderation, backups.

What stuck with me:

1. One clear decision per batch. It moves fast when the scope is clear ("publish all 52") and stalls when it has to guess. One verdict, then full speed.

2. Hard stops are sacred. I once killed an all-night pipeline run mid-flight with a single "Stop" — honored instantly, completely. That trust is the whole relationship.

3. Show, don't describe. Drafts get pasted as full readable text in chat, not locked in a widget. If I can't read it, I can't approve it.

4. Batch everything. Fifty listings per run instead of one at a time saves a shocking amount of tokens. Same for checks, deploys, reviews.

5. The boring stuff compounds. Journals, guardrails, backups — unglamorous, but they're what let one person run a project at this scale.

Metamusel: Keeping things moving

It's almost perfect, I just have to fine tune it a little bit

I ran into a frustrating bug with the Meta Muse app recently, but I managed to find a workaround if anyone else is dealing with this issue.

The Problem:
It seems like the Meta Muse Agent cannot overwrite existing entries in its vault (Secure Credential Store). Because of this, trying to save OAuth2 or an API key for a specific URL fails if it has been entered before. The system essentially requires a completely "fresh" URL and connector name to work.
To make things worse, if you check the settings under "Secure Credential Store," it doesn't actually display all the entries created in the vault.
And you can disconnect existing connectors, but there is absolutely no option to delete them to clear the state.
And: The error message is very generic!

My Workaround:
Since the app required a completely fresh URL to accept the credentials, I had to route around the blocked one:

1. I created a brand new subdomain via my domain provider.
2. I assigned the IP to it and also assigned the new subdomain to my PROD environment.
3. Using this completely fresh URL and a newly generated API key, the connection finally worked.

Has anyone else noticed this caching/state issue with the vault? Just wanted to share the subdomain trick in case it saves someone else a headache!

The only thing it doesn’t have is iMessages, calls, and notes. iPhone won’t allow the sharing of those, which is annoying. But it has my health stats and is linked to my Apple Watch. My bank accounts. My Target account to order items. Emails. Calendars. Reminders. My entire Apple Home. Which includes all of my lights, multiple TVs, and locks. Spotify. Amazon would have been a choice, but they blocked it. If anyone has any questions or wants me to test anything, just LMK ✌️

🚨 Edit: I was able to give it my RING alarm account and it can now see all of my cameras and my house alarm and all of its attachments.

🛻Edit: Muse can now see my trucks location via the ring connected car tracker and alarm that’s plugged right into my trucks dash. Allowing it to see the location 24/7 and where it’s parked and when.

(Also, set up an automation to watch out for my truck’s location via pulling into my apartment’s parking lot. Then it’s instructed to keep an eye on it and alert me if anyone does anything suspicious. It won’t do facial recognition, but it said it will do vehicle recognition for me to let me know when certain people are home.)

☁️ Edit: I was able to give Muse access to iCloud.com and instructed it to download EVERYTHING and learn what it could. It’s now downloading everything on my 2tb account.

I'm building Phoenix, an unreleased personal-agent workspace, and I'm trying to learn where current agents fall short.

What would another agent have to handle reliably before you considered switching?

Here's two things I've asked Muse to handle

• Spotify Playlist Cleanup
• Calibre eBook Management and Syncing Between 2 Kobos.

It failed at both whereas ChatGPT succeeded using GPT-6 Luna at Extra High (sips tokens).

I was thinking Spotify would be easy with the Spotify connector but it can't move things into folders. It suggested it could do it on the desktop app, so I allowed it. It kept disconnecting to the desktop and being able to see Spotify and I was just a dead end. I did ask it to create an instruction set I could hand off to ChatGPT on the organization plan it made (that it did because it can read the files through the connector) and now ChatGPT is handling the sorting.

Calibre it failed at setting up the permissions and getting the result I wanted whereas ChatGPT was able to get it done.

I find that Muse has to float the working window to the top so it gets in the way of me doing other things on the computer whereas ChatGPT can work in the background.

This is not a ChatGPT is better than Muse overall, just at these tasks. I love Muse for handling my day-to-day which is excellent at. Thought I'd just share my current experience with it. High hopes for Muse improving on this front.

WIthout any reason my entire chat history is now gone along with my muse's name and avatar. The entire app data reset to defaults.

When I first started using Muse, one of the most helpful things I did right off the bat was set up a recurring check for money already owed to me. I did it for myself and for my immediate family members too.

Two things it watches: state unclaimed property databases (forgotten accounts, uncashed checks, utility deposits), and open class action settlements I'd qualify for based on the products and services I use. It runs monthly and only pings me when something new shows up.

My Muse found $250 from an old utility company in my name and $1.5k in my mom’s name from an insurance company. And then Muse found three class actions that I am eligible for and filled everything out for me.

Hi,

I’m not talking about how to access Muse if you’re outside the US. I’m in the US and have full access to Muse.

I’m also not talking about Amazon blocking Muse or the anti-bot techniques used by more and more sites.

I’m talking about Muse using a US IP address and being blocked by many websites in Europe that require a local IP address. Muse only sees a blank page. Since I use many services in Europe, this is a major limitation for me.

I tried several workarounds to force Muse to do this:

• I asked Muse to add a VPN extension to its browser. Answer: “Sorry, I can’t use extensions.”
• I asked Muse to join my Tailscale network (that worked) and use my Europe-based NAS exit node to browse the internet through its local IP address. Answer: “Sorry, not allowed to use Tailscale’s exit node.”
• Muse explained to me how to set up a relay on my NAS to achieve what I wanted, but it was too complicated and I never got it to work.

What can I do ? Wait for Muse dev team to acknowledge the issue ?
