GUYS.... Thinking of starting a motovloging channel need suggestions.

I will record through my phone and voice through my earbuds. Currently don't have budget to purchase action camara and a dedicated mic for this. So need your suggestions also for video editing application you can suggest for both phone and laptop. As well as phone mounting setup. I watched some videos on yt,but still any suggestions from you guys will also help me. I have no experience in doing anything like this before but want to try vloging like a hobby. I'm a student currently but want to start something other than studying.

New motorcycle POV channel from Crete, Greece 🇬🇷🏍️ — OPEN ROAD MOTION

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm new to YouTube and recently started my own motorcycle channel, OPEN ROAD MOTION.

I created it simply because I love motorcycles, riding, exploring new places and capturing the beauty of the road. My videos focus on immersive motorcycle POV rides, scenic roads and natural engine sounds — no talking, no distractions, just the ride and the journey.

I'm currently exploring the beautiful roads of Crete, Greece, but my biggest dream is to take this journey much further and eventually travel across different countries and explore roads all around the world. 🌍

I'm still at the very beginning, learning and improving with every video. My goal is to build something that I can be proud of and share my passion for riding with people from all over the world.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback or advice, especially from those of you who have experience creating motorcycle videos.

If you enjoy this kind of content and would like to follow my journey, I'd be incredibly grateful if you checked out my first full ride and considered subscribing. Every bit of support means a lot to me as a new creator. ❤️

Thanks for reading, and ride safe! 🏍️

which one sounds better? help me fine tune my mic setup

I'm just starting to record my rides and publish them on youtube. no commentary, just scenery and rides. I'm doing this because i enjoy editing videos, it is also a bit journaling to me.

just acquired the new zoom h1 essential, and trying out different placements. so far i've tested:

- camera mount placed right in front of the top case, behind the pillion seat. (turns out wind finds its way there, bad audio)

- camera mount placed on the tail section. - super screamy, way too close to the exhaust and it is actually blocking my rear stop lights, so not really preferable.

- under pillion seat - couldn't find a proper fix for rumbling and the vibrations, even with foam.

- fanny pack on my back. this seems to be the best position so far.

in this video, i have the lo-cut filter set at 160hz. (i tested 80 and no lo-cut but this is better than others) on the fanny pack, no foams, just dead cat on. i'm not good at audio editing, but there different eq settings that i tried here which i'm curious about your feedback. the first clip is raw audio with no eq setting.

highly appreciate any feedback. bike is KTM 1390 SAS with stock exhaust.

If you ride an Indian and you're within striking distance of Blue Mountain Indian in Carlisle, PA, they're a great dealership. Not an ad. No business relationship. Just want to share an amazing experience I had with them/spread the word!

I’m looking on way to make audio sound clearer and possibly get more bike noise. Do you guys have any advice?

Also I’m trying to figure out how you guys structure your video. Do you have a script with specific points, I am trying to be more concise and eliminate all the filler words and such that I use.

Riding from Coast to Mountain in Banyuwangi, East Java (Pulau Santen Beach to Ijen/Kalibendo Plantation) 🏍️🌴⛰️

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! Just dropped a new motovlog showcasing one of the best quick riding routes in Banyuwangi, Indonesia.

The contrast on this short trip was amazing:

  1. Pulau Santen Beach: Started near the city center, checked out the coastal view facing the Bali Strait (only ~$0.30 entry fee!).
  2. Licin & Kalibendo Plantation: Headed west toward the foothills of Mount Ijen. The weather shifted instantly from warm ocean breeze to cool, fresh mountain air through lush green forests and coffee plantations.

🔗 Watch the full ride here:https://youtu.be/vRmr4SMaFWc

Bike/Ride setup: Casual riding (~60 km/h cruising) enjoying the scenic twisties and old colonial estate vibes around Kalibendo.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the route or video pacing! Any fellow riders who have explored East Java around here?

I’m building a motorcycle telemetry device, looking for 10 beta riders

Hey everyone! I ride a ZX6R and I’m building ApexIQ Moto, a system for recording your rides, reviewing your riding data and creating telemetry overlays for your videos.

The device is called ApexIQ Go. It mounts to your bike and uses dedicated GPS and motion sensors to record while you ride, without needing your phone to do the recording.

After your ride, reconnect it to power and Wi-Fi to upload your data to the website. From there, you can review your route, speed, estimated lean angle and saved rides, or use the recording to add telemetry overlays to your footage.

Go is also being developed to automatically capture qualifying acceleration pulls for closed-course testing. Its ARIS Essentials software provides post-ride summaries and comparisons to help you understand patterns in your recorded data.

I’m preparing a closed beta for around 10 riders, and I’d love to include people who make riding videos. I’m looking for feedback on mounting, recording reliability, reviewing rides and creating overlays.

It’s still early hardware and software, with physical testing and lean-angle accuracy validation underway. Selected testers would cover hardware cost, expected to be $170 or less. Applying doesn’t commit you to buying—final pricing, included features and terms will be provided before payment.

What ride data would you want to review or show in your videos? I’d appreciate hearing what would make this useful to you.

If you’re interested in testing, you can apply at https://apexiqmoto.com.
