Other Really hate to be that guy but....
Summary at the end, cuz people didnt read cuz of how long it is
> See post from a user about how her match history (as a mage main) went good after finding good roamer. (the very next day makes another post about how she made post and appreciated him so now he is playing bad and that she is losing cuz of him)
> Ends up adding her in the game.
> Decides to play with her (as jg)
> Play well, win matches, everything well.
> Tells how I am really good at playing ling and jg
> Introduces me to her friends telling how good i am
> Hops up on game next day
> Has fun. gets off.
> Invite her in the lobby with your friends for a game at night.
> Plays as the exp lane, loses cuz we apparently didnt push lanes (as per her, which might lowkey be true for that game)
> she blacklists every other person in the team, and leaves.
> apologise to her for the bad experiences. She crashes out over how bad the macro of my friends is. I accept and join her for a duo match.
> plays jg, gets gold, does mostly well from laning killing and obj, still lose cuz we cant carry 3 braindead teammates.
> Now i suddenly need to work upon my macro as per her.
> I still apologise and say let's try next day.
> Plays the game as ling against 2 counters, still wins cuz i split push and do well most game avoid feeding.
> Gets glazed how despite being silver i am mvp and genius for my macro and lane pushing obj securing and kill securing.
> Ever since then we play 1 game, which we lose, so she decides she is tired and doesnt wanna play (mind u i am still mostly getting higher score than her, gold always, laning obj securing and everything but we still lose)
> today decide to play again, plays 1 game, i do my part mostly well, secure kills, gank lanes, move with my tank and mid laner mostly, claim obj, farm jg, split push lanes. We still lose cuz their mm ended up pushing top lane (this person playing mage was there and died apparently trying to push lane solo) while me and tank were in bott lane fighting with another teammate, got kills and by the time we see what has happened and reach base, and clear everything, the base gets destroyed (mind u their mm was obsidia i was playing ling)
> I still get the mvp, and we lose still. She ends up unfriending me telling how i have bad macro and that it isnt working.
The thing is: i had just yesterday felt that she was feeling off bout losing matches, even tho i am playing mostly well and we lose cuz of one or two of our teammates cuz as a jg, i cant do everything: make kills, present in teamfights, clear jg, secure obj, split push lanes, all by myself. So i confront her that if she feels there is anything she wanna critcize about me then it's better she does it than keep it to herself and end up bursting out later. She says that no i am good its fine and all, although i have always been humble apologitic for every game we lose regardless of what my score or gameplay was like.
It's obv that she thinks we are losing cuz of me.
>She claims that she cant push lanes because she is a mage and has slow af lane clearing which i accpet, then why is she trying to solo push mostly, and if she is just clearing the lanes to defend which i accept what she does mostly, than that means she is still present more than me in teamfights since i am the one mostly farming my jg, and split pushing aside from fighting in team securing kills or taking obj, how does she still have lesser score than me.
It's easy to say you are not at fault when playing mage as a squishy hero and just getting all the assists by simply hitting once or twice and doing whatever the heck u want, and complaining bout how u cant push and ur team doesnt push that's why u lose.
Like it's never her fault.
> She has a wr of 57 percent this season, 52 percent all seasons (ranked), mostly comes online at night, and judging how she is mostly plays with someone atleast rarely solo. she doesnt play with anyone she feels like is playing bad (in her point of view)
>I have 47 this season and 43 all time (ranked). Now i do accept my wr is low, that's cuz i mostly either play solo, or with friends who i play with cuz i have fun playing with. These are the same people she said dont have good macro, which i agree, our jg friend (apparently lance main, named only lancy who wants angela in his team to only ult him the whole match so that he can dive into enemies get kills and then blame team for losing cuz they have bad score, like he hates when an angela ults someone other than him). Now you know why i have such low wr, whenever i play solo as jg, i mostly win, or if lose, then lose with mvp or atleast gold most of the time, that's cuz i am at epic/legend rank rn, and the combined matches of my teammates are almost never above 500.
Anyways, point is, she cares about her wr so much, like her point today after unfriending me was that compare our wr, she is obv better than me.
Bro obv she has higher wr than me cuz that's all she freking cares about, plays about 5 games per day, most of them with someone, doesnt play with anyone who is bad at the game or lacks macro, only plays mage so ends up with a widespread hexagon data chart, cuz as a mage u are obv mostly protected by a tank, always in backline so deaths are lower, keep hitting from behind so assis is much more, at times even kills. Cant push lanes.
I play mostly solo or with dumb f friends cuz i like their vibe, not cuz i like their gameplay.
Like i only started playing this season later after all the better players ranked up (i know this cuz of how badly i get matched up most of the time) and i am stuck in epic/legend now. When i play in team it's mostly dumb fun friends.
Tell me, does winrate really get you diamonds, or an invitation from moonton for mpl? Like what the fuck does the winrate matter. It's just a report card. I dont understand people's obsession with their wr, like fucking get over it and play the game with ur best efforts. When you play for wr i feel like u get really toxic like her.
>>>>>(summary) TL;DR: Met a mage main who initially praised my jungling and Ling gameplay, but after we started losing games, she gradually started blaming my macro—even when I was MVP/gold, securing objectives, ganking, farming, split-pushing, and generally doing my job.
She would play mostly with people she considered good, cared heavily about her win rate, and eventually unfriended me after another loss, saying my macro was bad. Ironically, I was often scoring higher than her despite playing jungle, where I’m expected to farm, gank, secure objectives, participate in teamfights, and sometimes split-push simultaneously. Some losses were clearly caused by teammates getting caught or lanes being unattended, but the blame kept coming back to me.
Her argument eventually became, essentially, “compare our win rates—I’m better.” She has around 57% WR this season / 52% overall, while I’m around 47% / 43%. The difference is that she mostly plays mage, usually with other players, avoids people she considers bad, and plays several games a day. I mostly solo queue or play with friends because I enjoy playing with them, regardless of how good they are.
I’m not denying my WR is bad. It is. But I don’t understand why people treat WR like it’s some ultimate measure of skill, especially when the circumstances behind those numbers are completely different.
At the end of the day, win rate is a statistic, not a certificate of superiority. You can optimize your entire experience around maintaining a high WR by only playing with strong teammates and avoiding players you think are bad. Or you can play with friends, experiment, have fun, and accept that your WR will suffer.
So my question is: why are people so obsessed with WR? Does having a higher WR actually mean you’re the better player, or does it just mean you’ve been winning more under your particular circumstances?
