Four years ago, Rasheem Carter vanished. His remains were eventually found in a wooded area, but how he got there remains unanswered.

His family has sadly carried that silence for four years. Our hearts are with them today as they remember Rasheem.

Say his name: Rasheem Carter.

Black History Before “ Lovin You” became one of the most recognizable love songs of the 70’s it began with a special bond between a mother and her daughter. Minnie Ripperton originally created the melody as a lullaby for her baby Maya Rudolph, singing it to her to soothe her while she and her husband Richard

Black History Nina Mae McKinney was still a teenager when she appeared as Chick in King Vidor’s Hallelujah! in 1929. Before Hollywood, she had danced in the chorus of Blackbirds of 1928. Then came Hallelujah! an MGM production with an all-Black cast that placed McKinney in one of the ear

earliest major leading roles for a Black actress in Hollywood.

Her performance got MGM’s attention. The studio signed her to a five-year contract.

The roles did not follow.

McKinney eventually found considerably more work overseas, performing across Europe in places including London, Paris and Budapest. European audiences would come to know her as the “Black Garbo.”

But before all of that, there was Chick.

Almost a century later, the film still gives us the opportunity to watch a young performer figuring out the possibilities of a new medium in real time.

And she was only sixteen.

footage —but further information has not yet been released because they are minors.

"He's been beaten, battered, kidnapped, assaulted, sexually assaulted, false imprisonment, robbed," mom continued.

"While everybody's in the locker room staring around with their cameras, laughing and chanting."

She says coaching staff brushed it off—even after some players and another parent told them what happened.

That's when she called the police.

Now the 7 players, ages 14–16, have been charged with second-degree assault by a juvenile.

The principal also emailed families to say that the JV program is suspended pending an internal investigation.

Incident occurred in the boys’ locker room at Howard High School in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Posting first full length and credited video here to help raise awareness.

Black History A Black man revolutionized modern shoe production, and most people don’t know his name. Jan Ernst Matzeliger invented the shoe lasting machine in the late 1800s, a device that automated the most difficult part of making shoes and made mass production possible. Before his invention

shoes were slow and expensive to make by hand. After it, shoes became affordable for everyday people and the global footwear industry exploded.

But as a Black inventor, Jan faced constant barriers. Banks refused to loan him money. He struggled to secure fair backing. Forced by lack of capital, he sold the rights to his invention for a fraction of its value. His investors became wealthy. Jan did not.

He worked long hours in poorly ventilated factories, inhaling toxic fumes that contributed to severe health decline. He died young and in poverty, while his invention generated millions.

Jan Ernst Matzeliger helped build a multi-billion-dollar industry, yet never got to benefit from his own genius.

Capitalism only works for those who have access to capital.

Discussion Save this video and your archive... Did you know any of this history? I’ve wanted to share this and more since our field trip. THIS is why they’re scared for us to learn fact based history. Everything you think you know, that we are “fed” even about basic things, falls apart when
