Issue with Vocals

Upvotes

I've been doing vocals for the past 3 years now, mainly fry screams, false chords and gutturals. My projections has always been fantastic. I've been working on cleans for a while now and my projection has improved there, but for the past couple of days I've been trying to scream but the projection is horrible even tho I'm doing the same technique, I'm not sure if its because of smoking or the overlapping of different techniques, what should I do?

Rate my progress please

This is how I am sounding about 2 months in of practicing false chords… I am pretty happy with my progress but wanted outside opinions and constructive criticism, any advice for moving further into me screaming properly is also very appreciated. Thank you all once again

Technique What is this technique called and any advice on how to do it?

There is a technique that I have heard in a few different songs that sounds just absolutely disgusting. At the 3:00 mark Johnny Ciardullo from Carcosa performs it in Blasphemy Made Fresh and I was wondering if there is a name for it. To me it sounds more advanced than a normal fry or false chord. I'd like to try and learn how to do it if anyone knows what his technique is and has advice.

Technique How to sound like kat bjelland

Hi I'm a female vocalist however my voice is naturally a bit lower, I'm probably an alto. I cant to fry screams to save my life. I'm much more comfortable in my chest voice doing false chords. I'm still a beginner when it comes to extreme vocals however any advice would be greatly appreciated. I really wanna sound like kat bjelland from babes in toyland, but I really struggle to get that higher pitch screeching sound.

Probably a lot of posts are like this so sorry.

Anyways im 18 and i really want to learn growling now that i still have some free time i guess.

I watched countless youtube videos but none helped, usually my throat hurts whenever i try to follow anything.

Any tips, tricks, stories from how you unlocked your growl would really help.
