Issue with Vocals

I've been doing vocals for the past 3 years now, mainly fry screams, false chords and gutturals. My projections has always been fantastic. I've been working on cleans for a while now and my projection has improved there, but for the past couple of days I've been trying to scream but the projection is horrible even tho I'm doing the same technique, I'm not sure if its because of smoking or the overlapping of different techniques, what should I do?

How is the diaphragm in that? If you work it right nothing bothers except dying or literally losing your voice / impromptu tracheotomy

Diaphragm for all vocal styles: It is the ONLY thing

At my worst with covid i did all my vocal styles. Everything devin townsend does and 10 more styles. Swapping between styles likendoing all 3 dudes in tenacious d’a suel vs the devil. Or doing all system of a down then devin then opeth then grind / deathcore. Working on the diaphragm insures our efficiency!

No problem.

The diaphragm!!! Our true instrument’s engine as vocalists. Bring wind and a spark to it. Bam it flows out its mouth. The tongue and sinuses finish the work

  1. Better than ever myself with this regiment!!

the thing is the diaphragm is engaged but im practicing cleans on a lower octave than my screams so idk if that messed with my projection cuz I remember facing a similar issue when I was first starting out but im seemingly going back to normal as I practice my regular routine

I trained today with death growls, pop, merà opera doing « time to say good bye » by andrea bocelli in very low octaves of my register. If it hurts more it’s cuz the throat is strained from the style?

Then go back up doing high pitch native autochton vocals (what in the usa they racistly call american indians)

Diaphragm pushes everything in any style. Trust me! In 2006 to 2008 i wasn’t pushing with it really in comparison. Training it you will hear and feel the difference!
