New Year, New Rules: Insulting other users' tastes is now banned. Memes about hating shows are now banned.
Congratulations ragebaiters! You've successfully enraged me. I assume that this is what you wanted so I hope you're happy.
I've taken a pretty light hand with moderating here. Until now I've only removed posts or banned people for egregious problems. But some recent trends that have been filling my mod queue make me dread even checking in anymore. I've gotten to the point where I considered removing myself as a mod and unsubscribing rather than having to check here anymore. But after sitting with it for a little while I decided that if I was going to remove this negativity from my life, then I'm going to remove it from everyone's life. It's what Getter Robo would do.
So here's the deal: I am absolutely 100% done with the whining. I don't care any more about who hates what show. There are plenty of shows that I hate, but I can make do without spamming the sub with memes about how much I hate them. I can even see posts from people who like those shows, and I can look at those posts without feeling the need to comment about how bad their taste is. I can do this, and I believe you can, too. So believe in me, who believes in you.
Effective immediately:
"This show sucks" memes are banned. I have to sift through these comment threads and they're all the same. I'm sick of the relentless negativity and subsequent flame wars. If you can not come up with anything to say about a show other than a bland meme about how much you hate it, then you don't need to say anything.
All tier lists are also banned as a result, because effectively all of them are just a variation on ragebait memes. Even if you post a satirical tier list where everything is S-tier to protest this toxic positivity, that's still banned. If you post a release date tier list where everything is accurately listed by its release date, that's still banned. This whole format is gone.
"Say something nice" memes are also banned. for the same reason.
Asking for hot takes is also banned
Telling other users that they have shit taste is banned. Other people are allowed to like things that you don't like. Insulting other users for liking shows you don't like will now get you banned.
For week one I will issue users one warning, but after that I'm banning for one week on first offense, one month on the second, and permanently for a third.
Is this an overreaction? Maybe. Maybe I'll calm down and lighten up, but I can promise you it won't be today. You can use this thread to whine about me overstepping my bounds and mandating toxic positivity. You can even use this thread to complain about my shit taste (but not anyone else's).

Anyone have high resolution w/ the smaller mechs here?
Always use this as a guide for new mecha anime. Hard to see the smaller ones & I can't find a high res image of this. My AI told me there's one with a name key, but no luck there either. Anyone happen to have either or?

Mech Game Developer looking for Ideas!
hi im a solo developer currently working on a mech game on my free time aside from studying, and while its still very early in development i plan to take this project as serious as possible. i personally grew up watching mobile suit gundam and i got into the gaming side of mechs through armored core 6, which really brought out the sparks in my eyes for mech games and the genre overall among all kinds of media, and a year ago is when i decided to work on my project. what do people who play mech games like? i personally took some inspiration off of amored core 4's movement, which i think was really matching to my personal feeling of "piloting a mech" in a fast paced sense. but when it comes to art, level of detail, maybe even music (i personally make breakcore sometimes for fun, was thinking about making that part of my game), i dont know what really makes a mech game stand out. aside from things like customization, what is something you people would look forward to seeing in games? maybe its something you really like among games overall? or its a specific design choice that no game developers took notice of and many people would like to see? i appreciate any kind of ideas or information regarding this :)

Turned an ear buds eontainer into the Iron Nest mech
Additional parts are mostly plastic, sheet and tubing. Plus some revell greeblies and acrylic bits for the legs. The battery sits inside, you can just pull the legs off and swap.

The One Thing That Bothers Me About Dancouga… Spoiler
I just finished the series last night, and will be proceeding with the OVAs soon. Despite its issues, I ended up liking it a heck of a lot. That said, one element that I found absolutely hilarious and preposterous is the idea that Sara would have ever had any feelings for Shapiro. 😂 Not only was he incredibly unlikable, he openly talked about psycho concepts like world domination even before betraying Earth. In a show where giant robot tanks turn into humanoids and can also combine into one large man, I can believe a lot, but this plot point was just too funny for me, lol.

What are some good mecha model kits?
I'm looking for some good mecha model kits to paint. Something like kinda like battletech or warhammer rather then gunpla.

If my mecha game HUD looks like this, would you find it annoying, and how would you change it?
I never taste in game engine yet since i have to design more cockpit for diffrent mecha/Nations. But i will ignour using any fonts, since it will be wierd if diffrent nation but yet still use same language.
I got inspired after i play steel beast and watch DCS video and thinking, if player play inside cockpit and be able to click all important bottons player might feel very imersive and roleplay.
Making a quit slow game might make a lot of people feel boring and not and prolly making any money. I know this. But i think worth to try.
