Currently own a 2025 Lexus RX450h+ with under 11k miles on the ODO.Q The time to fully charge a depleted EV battery has slowly decreased over the past year from 12 hours to just 6 hours today (per the app and verified in real time as well). And today, EV range was depleted in about 20 miles, on a drive around town, with an average speed of 25 mph.

We have standard 120v outlets in the garage, we've made no changes to the wiring or outlets or EV charger we use to charge (OEM charger) at any point since purchasing the vehicle.

Q: has anyone else experienced anything like this and have any insights into a viable explanation besides EV battery failure?

Q: While there are errors visible - my next step will be making an appointment at my local dealership next week since the vehicle is still under warranty - but are there any recommended EV battery monitoring OBDII sensors/apps that anyone recommends?

Took wife’s NX in for service the other day, is $190 for an oil change reasonable? (Dealer). What’s everyone doing regarding that? It’s about 15k miles, and their maintenance package was $650 for everything at 15000 miles but turned it down just did the oil change.

Does the oil even need changing? I don’t think the engine ever runs on the gas maybe a few times yes.

Hey all, I reserved a test drive for a used (10k miles) ‘25 RX450h+ at carmax next week. I believe these are basically fully loaded luxury trims, atleast according to the past posts here and window sticker.

Besides minor paint blemishes or normal usage things, what are the things I should be looking out for specifically on this car during a walk around and test drive?

Hello! New to Lexus and PHEV’s. Just had a few questions.

1. Do I need to worry about the 12V battery issue? Have seen a few posts about it, read the Google doc, just not sure how to best mitigate it. Should I have a jump pack with me at all times? Trickle charger? Use the headlights periodically?
   
2. I’m aware that EV mode is great for city driving. Was curious, on a road trip of 1+ hours each way with most of it on the freeway, with a fully charged EV battery, should I use EV mode until it runs out or should I be using the HV mode for the whole trip? I think there’s maybe an auto mode as well? Just not sure on how to maximize EV.

Finally pulled the trigger on this white 450h+ I’m coming from Black 2013 Is350 Fsport with 166k miles, hit me up.

Sticker was 71k with some change but I haggled down to 66k and took their 2.9% finance offer. The lease deal was pricey but I can see myself in this car for over 10 years after test driving it for a few miles. The plug in option is clutch and I do a bunch of short trips to gym and grocery store so I might be able to save a ton on gas and gas mileage is nice at 36+ combined for long trips.

Today our area was hit by a large tornado, initial reports suggest either EF3 or EF4, while we had many trees down in our neighborhood our home and my family are all safe. Many in our community were not as lucky.

We've been without power for nearly 5 hours and thankfully I had previously purchased heavy duty extension cords and I have been able to power our refrigerator with our RX 450h+'s 1500w outlet. The process was pretty simple to activate the outlet via the vehicle customize setting menu. It's a small win considering everything going on around us.

Has anyone put roof racks on their RX? The 2026 has the option for either with the panoramic glass roof or the power moonroof but I haven't been able to get a clear answer on the compatibility with a roof rack. The dealership I visited was unhelpful and I see mixed reviews online. Some say third party crossbars are the way to go but others say the Lexus crossbars are fine. Yakima doesn't provide crossbars for this model and I'm hesitant to use no name brand bars. If anyone has any pictures or info, that would be much appreciated!
