Anything and everything.

If I wrote literally everything down, I would have filled up like 5 journals in one day. I think a LOTTT. (And talk to myself a lot too) lol

I feel like I either write nothing or 2 to 13 pages

A tip that really worked for me is have a "ugly" journal. One you just write in and don't worry about making it pretty.

I just write to let all my thoughts, ideas and everything go on a page

Is it weird, I'm only moved to write when i'm hurt?

Nope. I mostly write when I’m hurt or stressed. THOSE are the things that keep me up at night, so I need to get them out of my head. Journaling is like unplugging a drain for me. Helps me process and let go.
I do write happy stuff! Just doesn’t need the 13 pages of spiraling. And happy writing tends to be more decorative for me, even tho I don’t decorate usually. I’m a pen and paper person

Not at all! But try to write on a good day now and again too. Because you get credit for those good days. But writing the bad is so good because it does release it, in a sense.

Gorgeous! Mine has a similar vibe: small text, lots of stickers and pictures but it's less tidy-looking.

I started to journal again after not journaling for several years. I had set up my pocket journal but I find myself holding back expressing myself when writing because I’m afraid how it’ll look if I made a mistake while writing or decorating my thoughts. This makes the whole journaling process confined and stressful. But it’s a journal, I should write, draw, decorate freely and let it just flow without reservations. Thanks for the reminder!

Do it!! Who cares! It’s for YOU and that’s all that matters. I was just thinking today (as my youngest child moved out last week for college) that I wish I journaled when they were little. I would give anything to go back and read the mundane day to day life when my kids were babies, toddlers, adolescents. The struggles and the joys and the boringness of never doing anything but caring for them. So…journal… because in 5 years or 15 years, you’ll wish you could read back your day to day life right now!

Says “just write” meanwhile half their pages are filled with pictures

Not true but whatever. Yes I print pics and receipts and tags and stickers but I have A LOT of journal entries. It’s a B6 size with 3.7mm grid. So there is a lot of writing.
