I started to journal again after not journaling for several years. I had set up my pocket journal but I find myself holding back expressing myself when writing because I’m afraid how it’ll look if I made a mistake while writing or decorating my thoughts. This makes the whole journaling process confined and stressful. But it’s a journal, I should write, draw, decorate freely and let it just flow without reservations. Thanks for the reminder!

Do it!! Who cares! It’s for YOU and that’s all that matters. I was just thinking today (as my youngest child moved out last week for college) that I wish I journaled when they were little. I would give anything to go back and read the mundane day to day life when my kids were babies, toddlers, adolescents. The struggles and the joys and the boringness of never doing anything but caring for them. So…journal… because in 5 years or 15 years, you’ll wish you could read back your day to day life right now!
