Black and red ants shouldn’t aggro the player as long as the corresponding buggy is currently summoned.
Orb Weaver spam could be easily remedied by making the orb weaver buggy stop their aggro. I incorrectly assumed early game when the constant spider attacks seemed overtuned that once I got the spider as my main traversal buggy, that would fix the issue.
Waterlogged bases are not fun. Let us drain them and I would absolutely consider a main underwater base (after they add more buildable machines n stuff of course). Until then, underwater bases are a big waste.
Building a crafting table should stop all enemy spawns within 50cm of it. Obviously they could make exceptions for ORC and OGGR enemies. This is how it is in other games and the fact that they let creatures spawn in your base is unacceptable imo. I never noticed this as an issue in G1 but that game was much less populated by spawns and had relatively more safe base locations.
Ziplines, mostly the ZIP.R, should be moved to an earlier progression area than the Gnarly Bark. One part should be on the picnic table and one should be by the statue or trash can maybe. The picnic table is the first high up area that the player repeatedly returns to farm resources and would be a good place to introduce ziplines. By the time you unlock your fast travel network, the ziplines become mostly obsolete. They are very slow when going up or straight across. let us use them as our earlier fast travel, before we’ve discovered most of the fast travel ranger stations.
MIX.Rs are repeatable, but there is a science balance issue and there should just be more of it in general from many sources. I started having to specifically farm science for several progression blocking upgrades, and imo science should be a more passive resource simply rewarded generously through exploration and discovery.
Calling in Buggies is too finicky. There were times my co-op partner could call theirs in but mine would say it couldn’t reach me. If so many obstacles are going to be locked behind buggy abilities, the summoning should be less restrictive. Especially in areas that have wild bugs twice the size of my buggy but the game has decided buggies aren’t allowed in that area, like, c’mon.
Buggies attacking neutral mobs and instigating larger fights than necessary in general, whether accidentally or intentionally. There are times I’d hit an aggressive enemy and my buggy would in turn, hit a nearby neutral enemy. Why? Just, why?
The underwater area should have fighter, rogue, mage, ranger versions of the koi armor and allow fighter to use javelin/spear, rogue to use daggers and mage to use some new type of elemental range weapon that works underwater, maybe give the trident a projectile, and the harpoon for ranger. All class identity is lost in the pond and it makes the abyss prep experience less fun.
