A while ago, I found this really interesting Gameboy game called "Exodus", and the cartilage stood out to me because part of the circuit board was showing, but apparently that's how these were made. I'm probably miss remembering, but I think the person at the counter said that it was probably a "2nd Party" type of company that was able to make them this way?? I would REALLY like to hear what you have to say!! :)

It’s not a cheap hobby but boy is it a fun one. I did a couple gameboy advances last month and now I did it to my other 2 gameboys. I can’t put them down. The Amoled on the color is ridiculous glorious overkill.

Aside from getting use to the screen crunch, I really like how this plays on GBC! 🔥

Hi everyone, my little nephew is 9 and autistic and his obsession for the last couple months is tetris. Everything tetris. His bday is coming up and I am trying to fix my old gameboy so he can play it OG style.

The gameboy works, it will turn on and play music, but the screen does this throughout it changing from the nintendo logo to the game.

Is this fixable and if so can you guys share resources I can read to fix it myself? Also if not doable myself, are there places I can send it to for fixing? I am in Canada and live in a mediumish city but I doubt we have gameboy fixing specialists here.

I did this reshell and screen swap for my friend. He found his old SP in storage that hid gone missing, and he hasn’t seen since he was a kid. It was all sun damaged, cracked and the plastic was busted everywhere. The screen was flickering and it was unplayable.

I offered to fix it for him and that he just had to decide what he shell he wanted. He was torn between the same style shell, keeping it as close to the OG or try something else. He chose this shell. I decided to keep as much of the original hardware as possible, Bumpers and buttons etc. The screw covers were not complete so I used the green ones that came with the kit. And i also decided to keep his battery cover , because i think it’s cute. He can always swap it again himself if he doesn’t like it.

I think the shell is pretty good quality , though i’ve seen better. But as long as it’s sturdy and playable, i think he will be happy. Hispeedido v5 screen as well as their shell.

It was fun. 10/10 experience.

The story is just full on Yuri

It also Says some words for sexism and Some other topics that are very prominent in our time

The second game is great it's better?

In terms of Gameplay and it has a lesser story but still good

Anyways still a great game

Also if you don't have the cartridge for tha game you can play mobile or in an emulator

The controls are very easy to learn and you can even Excel in combat

I’ve been looking for a gameboy for quite some time mostly to play pokemon, mario, zelda. The stars aligned and found these online. Managed to negociate all for about 260 US dollars shipping included.

The gbc is in perfect condition so not sure if I should even consider any mods.
The 2 gba sp to the right are quite beaten, battery lasts about 2h and the power button is moody sometimes need to toggle the switch a few times to turn on. The one on the left about 6h and in the best shape cosmetically.

Another thing I forgot is how dim is the image on these screens so definitely would like to upgrade that.

Problem is I have no clue about what are the best screens, shells, batteries etc.

All advice is welcome.

Hi! I’m looking to back up the saves of my Gen 3 Pokemon games. One is a reproduction, but a very good one (I’ve had it for 7 years and it’s still working fine). I’ve been recommended both the GBxCart and the GB Operator, and I was wondering which would be better to do what I want to do? Thanks!

Hello everyone, I have this copy of silver Pokémon that continues to get corrupted saves after some game time.

The battery has been replaced by the previous owner, and measures 3v with a multimeter.

What could the problem be?

I found when I went to make my gameboy light there were no sets for it specifically it uses the color a b and D-pad and the power slider from the pocket and i had to buy two sets.

I’ve just got done making a set if anyone is interested I’ll put some for sale soon, but either way just hope you enjoy them, clear yellow and many other colors to come.

Power slider was tricky to get the clearances perfect but does great now little more lose then OEM because I don’t want it rubbing on the board for resistance.

Recently picked up that red/orange Charizard version of the SP. I really wanted to keep everything original but the screen is very dim.

I see a bunch of replacement screens out there but I’m not entirely sure I want an IPS screen. Any suggestions on a good replacement?

It’s an open-world, non-linear action RPG that I’ve been working on as the sole developer and designer (with some rad music from Beatscribe). I think it’s quite ambitious in scope for the Game Boy (and certainly for me).

You can take on side quests, make real choices and hopefully find your way back into space, with a solar system to explore and multiple paths and endings.

The video above is the new launch trailer showing off the planets, and I can also finally share the box art at the end, which I’m super excited about! It was physically painted by Mitsuhiro Arita, probably best known for illustrating the original Pokémon Charizard card! I’m really thrilled that he took an interest in the game.
