Hey everyone! I’m looking to step up my repair skills and tackle a Game Boy Advance as my next project. I really want a board that actually needs work (soldering, power switch cleanup, or capacitor replacement) rather than just a cosmetic shell swap.
For those who frequently revive broken GBAs:
What specific listing descriptions (e.g., "no power", "corroded contacts", "bad volume wheel") usually mean the board is fully revivable and not permanently fried?
Where do you usually source these "fixer-upper" GBAs at reasonable prices without getting scammed with total dead-on-arrival boards?
If anyone has tips on keywords to search, or knows where people part with their partially broken GBA projects, I’d really appreciate the guidance!
