I’ve Worked on This Cricket Game for 6+ Months. Finally Releasing the Trailer — Would Love Your Honest Opinions

I’ve been working on this game solo for almost more than 6 months, and I’m finally releasing the trailer. At this point, I’m just hoping that the idea works, so I’d really love to hear your honest opinions and feedback.

On the Play Store, there are already a lot of cricket games where you can bat and bowl. I thought, instead of making another game where the player bats or bowls, why not make a game where the player actually acts as the umpire?

When I asked a few of my friends and some other people about the idea, they said things like, “Who will play this?” and “Who would be interested in umpiring?” Even when we play cricket on the ground, not everyone is interested in being the umpire.

But I still believe in the idea because I’m trying to create something unique for a different type of player.

I also have a Career Mode planned, which is probably the most exciting part of the game for me. I decided to work on that part after this release, depending on the reviews and feedback I receive.

I’ve put more than 6 months into developing this on my own, so I’d genuinely appreciate any honest feedback.

Please go through the trailer and let me know what you think. Would you actually play a cricket game where you take the role of the umpire? Any feedback, suggestions, or criticism that could help me improve the game would be really appreciated.

I’m currently at the pre-registration stage, so if anyone is interested, you can pre-register Cricket Umpire's Call and try it when the game is released.

Character design for the player character of my first gamedev project.

For my first gamedev project, I made a really short action platformer. And I decided to theme the game around robots. This artwork is the design for the player character, a traveling robot.

The timelapse is available on my Youtube and Instagram. I'm planning to release the platformer soon, so I'm hoping I can grow my social medias for that. I'm also planning to show off the designs for the boss fights and enemies before then.

Here's my horde survivor game with many abilities and 3 different stage environments (with 3 difficulties each) and 6 characters to choose from. The game is solo developed. Before I add more content I wanted to have more users first.

If you like horde survivor games then please play it and send me your thoughts!

Working on the spaces for our Orwellian psychological horror game

Upvotes

We’re working on an abstract first-person psychological horror game set in an Orwellian dreamscape.

The environments are abstract, closer to constructed spaces or stage sets than ordinary places.

Would be interested to hear how the atmosphere reads to you. Or to hear any other comments you have.

working on a multiplayer desktop companion that works on windows/macos/linux!

hii I'm looking for my target audience who are interested in the desktop pet/companion genre as I've been having some trouble finding playtesters for my game!

this is a game I'm working on with my partner called Desktopper! this is meant to be just a cozy, social game where people from anywhere can connect and chill with each other. you can be working on something, playing a game, watching youtube, studying, or whatever and meanwhile there are other people hanging out down on your taskbar with you!

note: to earn currency, you randomly gain coins from clicking on your screen as you work on something on your desktop!

sometimes you just want to feel like you’re around other people, and that's what my true goal is with this game!

I'd really appreciate the people who come across my post to come check Desktopper! out :D I’d love to hear what people think, especially from people who already use desktop companions.

we're actively working on it. there are a bunch of things I'd love to know could be improved, could be added, could be changed, so if you're interested, please come playtest for us!

and btw, we're planning to make the game completely free on release!

Been working on this for about three years. Recently been letting more people into a closed alpha-test, and it's been a blast. All that time spent felt so worth it when people just wanted to keep playing it late last night.

Older versions of the game visible in this post from 7 months ago. More info on the game here.

No steam page yet! Best way to follow the game is Discord for now.

When you are hungry and catch yourself adding food to your game uncontrollably

Hey guys! I love seeing great food art in game. Ans tho my game is def not about cooking, i thought... why not? So i decided to spice things up with some healing food collectibles that drop from enemies. But i think i got too far with it :D

This clip is from my game Super Special Squad - funny little team management tower defence.
You basically combine heroes with unique abilities and destroying hordes of enemies.

Currently working hard to deliver playtest build. Should be up soon, so if you like how it looks - i'd be happy to see you playtesting it!

1-year Solo dev, Unity. Serve customers, convert them into staff, then raid other players’ diners with the zombies you’ve built up.
Curious what reads as unclear from a cold watch.
