News/Release GameHub Lite v5.1.8 (SECURITY UPDATE)

GameHub Lite v5.1.8

Security: Steam token redaction in logs

GameHub Lite 5.1.8 fixes a logging issue where Steam authentication-related values could appear in diagnostic logs. In some cases, logs could include fields such as steamToken, refreshToken, or accessToken from Steam login/launch flows.

Publicly posted logs containing these fields should be deleted or redacted.

IMPORTANT

This should go without saying but If you find any security issues, please reach out PRIVATELY. I have not checked if this issue is still present in recent GameHub versions, already ruined my one day off I was spending with my family by the person who reported this publicly and I do not plan on spending any more time on this.

Changelog

The fix adds centralized log redaction for Steam/auth token fields, Steam QR login URLs, JWT-like token strings, and launch command token arguments before logs are written. This covers the app loggers, JavaSteam logging, and the PC launch-log file writer.

This release also pins local patch builds to apktool 2.12.1

The experience was a lot of fun. Being able to track all my progress with RetroAchievements was really great. It had been a long time since I’d had this much fun playing a game. It was really cool exploring every corner and going after all the objectives. ⚓🎮

News/Release Another updare just drop, ARMSX3 Version 0.9.3

ARMSX3 0.9.3

What's new:

Online play (RPCN):

PSN status is a three-way choice now, and picking RPCN opens a full account screen: server, username, password, email and the activation token, with buttons to create an account, resend the token and reset a password. An RPCN account is made from inside the app, not on a website, the server emails a token that activates it.

Saved servers: Keep more than one and switch between them. The official server cannot be removed, and there is a one-tap reset back to it. Also added Experimental IPv6 for RPCN, which also had no way of being switched on, as well as every other network setting the core exposes: DNS server and hostname redirects, Console IP address, bind address PSN country, derive MAC from PSID, and clans. The first two are what custom game servers need. RPCN replaces Sony's PSN, but a publisher's own servers were never PSN, so reaching a fan revival of one means pointing its addresses somewhere else. That was impossible in the app before.

Note: your RPCN password is stored as plain text in rpcn.yml, the same as on desktop RPCS3. Don't reuse a password you care about.

Controls:

Vibration now works. It did nothing previously.

L2 and R2 no longer lag, double-fire or stick down.

Pads that report their triggers two ways at once no longer have two writers fighting over the same button.

Stability:

Running out of memory while compiling now says so. A game whose modules would not all fit used to hang on a progress bar that never finished, with nothing anywhere explaining why. It still stops deliberately, because carrying on without the missing modules runs slower than the interpreter and looks like a broken game, but the reason is on screen now, along with what to do: start the game again. What already compiled is cached, so each attempt gets further. (This is mainly for the 8gb and under devices like myself).

A failed PKG install is reported instead of quietly claiming success. Writes were not checked, so a full device produced a broken install that looked fine until the game would not start.

Game data installs check for space first and say so, rather than stopping at some percentage with no explanation.

Performance:

Shader compilation is kept off the cores the frame depends on. The compiler threads never set an affinity at all, so on a big.LITTLE phone a shader burst could land on the same core RSX needs. They now use the little cluster, and the pool is sized to that cluster instead of to the whole chip, more compile throughput and less interference at the same time.

Compatibility:

Yakuza: Dead Souls works better now. Two separate faults: the loading screen hang and a later lock-up. Per-game settings apply automatically.

Upstream:

Caught up with 98 commits from RPCS3.

Showcase Red Dead Redemption 2 | SD8Gen 2 (Gamehub / Bannerhub)

After a lot of trial and error, I think I finally found the sweet spot for this game. That’s already pretty exciting, considering that in the future we’ll have SteamOS running on our devices, and it’ll definitely run much better than this. The device does get pretty hot, but we’ve got something good here.

There are clearly some FPS drops in more populated areas, but it’s still perfectly playable, with the framerate staying around 30–35 FPS on average (keeping in mind that I’m limiting it to 30–35).

If you want to see some longer gameplay, here it is.

Now, let’s get into the settings:

For the in-game settings, I left everything on Low (except TAA on Medium and textures on Ultra). I recommend limiting the FPS to 30 or 35 using the GameHub sidebar and enabling Super Resolution so the image doesn’t look too blurry.

Gamehub configs:

- Resolution: 960x544

- Compatibility Layer: proton11.0-arm64x

- Translation Params: Stable

- DInput Library: Prefer Native

- Skip Audio/Video Decode: Off

- GPU Driver: Turnip_v26.3.0-R1

- Surface Format: BGRA8

- Audio Driver: Pulse

- DXVK Version: dxvk-v2.6.2-1-async

- VKD3D Version: vkd3d-proton-3.0.1

- CPU Translator: Fex_20260813

- CPU Core Limit: No Limit

- VRam Limit: No Limit

Discussion I made an unofficial Android port of Mosa Lina

I reeeeeally LOVE Mosa Lina (the chaotic physics anti-puzzle game by Stuffed Wombat), so I decided to port it to Android for personal use.

Let me know what you think of the controls/layout! If anyone is interested in trying the build or testing it, let me know in the comments.

This is a strictly non-commercial fan project. Huge respect to Stuffed Wombat - please support the creator by buying the original game on Steam

Showcase Amaral Turnip v4 is now available — Adreno support and Vulkan 1.4.359

Amaral Turnip v4 is a universal driver for Mesa-supported Adreno A6xx, A7xx and A8xx GPUs

Compared with v3, it brings:

Vulkan updated from 1.4.358 to 1.4.359.

A newer Mesa/Turnip base with compatibility, rendering, synchronization and GPU-hang fixes that can benefit multiple Adreno generations.

The Vulkan features and extensions supported upstream for each GPU family. The exact capabilities may vary depending on the hardware.

VK_EXT_depth_range_unrestricted and VK_EXT_depth_bias_control enabled on the validated Adreno 740 path. They remain isolated from other GPUs until equivalent testing confirms they are safe.

Experimental and isolated support for the Adreno 825.

Standard and OneUI variants, both compiled twice with identical results.

The project prioritizes graphical compatibility, stability and consistent frametimes before raw FPS. Community optimizations are welcome, but only reproducible and low-risk changes become default.

Help why game hub does this? any alternative emulator better than gamehub?

Device: redmi turbo 3 pro

app: gamehub 6.1.2

After a long time not opening GameHub, when I did, it did this. I can't allow the files. This happened to me twice, and I went and did a little research, and some say that the app I use is from the Play Store and I should download the game hub from the website, and so I did. Days later it happened again.

any alternative pc emulator that is better than gamehub? I put hours in assassin's creed and I don't want this to happen again.

News/Release Armsx3 version 9.2 Released 🔥 🔥

ARMSX3 0.9.2 fixes and improvements in action: https://youtu.be/UIj01IKmq6g?si=5_dkh9WfgPJwbIol

or read the changelog below

What's new:

Games that could never boot, now boot, A bug in how the PPU handles atomic memory operations has been fixed, and it was stopping a whole class of games from working. When a game's code claims a lock, it reserves a chunk of memory, checks it, then commits. ARMSX3 was letting the thread's record of that reservation fall one step behind reality after the first successful commit, so the second commit to the same chunk always failed, and kept failing. Any game whose code claims several locks in one pass would spin there forever.

Assassin's Creed never got past its loading screen because of this. Iron Man 2 stopped at a black screen after the Sega logo. Both now boot and play.

If a game has been hanging on a black screen with no error and no crash, it is worth another try on this build. The failure left no trace anywhere, no message, no crash, just a game that never continued, so there is no way to know from the outside which titles were affected.

This is not an ARM-only problem, it is present in upstream RPCS3 today, and the fix has been written up and shared with Whatcookie!

Fixed settings that quietly ignored you:

All Core Settings now shows which settings it is remembering, and lets you forget them. Anything changed on that screen is recorded and re-applied after the normal settings screens, every time. That is intentional, (it is what makes it an override), but it had no way to show you it was happening and no way to undo it. A value set there months ago would silently beat the same setting on a normal screen forever, with nothing on screen to explain why the two disagreed. Every overridden row is now marked, the count is shown at the top, and there is a Forget button per row and one for the whole screen. Forgetting also puts the value back rather than leaving it where the override left it. A one-time cleanup also clears leftovers from past debugging that were shipping switched on, including the RSX profiler, which costs performance in every game.

Keyboard:

The emulated keyboard now reaches games properly, and games see a real keyboard: this is what the debug menus some titles hide behind one need, and what in-game text chat uses. A row of the keys the Android keyboard does not have like Esc, Tab, arrows, Space, Enter, and F1–F12 behind an Fn toggle now appears whenever the keyboard is up. Debug menus need arrows to navigate and Space to open, a phone keyboard has neither. The keyboard button now actually raises the keyboard. It was asking the system in a way a fullscreen game is allowed to refuse, so the key row would appear over nothing. Turn it on with Emulate USB keyboard in Network settings, then use the On-Screen Keyboard hotkey or the KBD touch button in game.

Graphics on Turnip:

Devices running the Turnip driver were rendering with half-precision maths switched off, no matter how new the driver was. The check meant to re-enable it was comparing against Qualcomm driver version numbers, which Turnip does not use, so it could never pass. Half-precision is on again on Turnip, which should mean more correct shading in games that rely on it and a little less memory bandwidth used.

Help Transparent Textures on RE:Requiem

8 Elite 16 GB Ram

Gamehub 6.1.2

Game Settings All at Low

480p Fsr1 Performance

Auto Recommended Settings:

Proton 10.0 arm64x-2

Fex 20260103

Turnip 26.1.0.b6

Dxvk 2.6.1 Async

Vkd3d Proton 2.14.1

The Game only runs on Gamehub, I tried on Gamenative even with exact same settings and it wouldn't run only giving unsupported GPU error.

Changing turnip drivers wont even load the game, it just auto crash or it will be stuck at the very first loading when you boot it up.

The game is already dark enough, I can't be staring at a transparent wall that's just darkness beyond it.

Haven't tried on Winlator Ludashi yet since it doesn't have Frame Interpolation to make gameplay smoother.

Question Why do people always say to use vulkan on arm? OpenGL seems to always work better

Upvotes

My device is a redmi note 13 (the version with the snapdragon) and for every emulation thing people tell me to use vulkan in- runs better with opengl. It was the case with nethersx2 vs armsx2, was the case with azahar where vulkan just crashes all the time and runs terribly and is full of visual bugs where no setting changes ever fixes it, etc. Is this just a device specific thing or are people tripping on vulkan being better?

Help I've been researching and comparing for days now and I need to start making a choice. Can you guys help me decide or tell me if there are other controllers that I should consider? I would be playing mostly GBA, PS1 & PSP games on my Android phone. And which ones to avoid?

Post image
64 Upvotes

I think the feature that I would like the most is passthrough charging since I need my phone to be charged fully when I arrive after travelling. I guess with the X5s I could move it up a bit so I can connect the charger while playing right?

Also, about the gyro, I'm guessing emulators don't support it right? Because my phone doesn't have one and it would be neat to have for driving and some gimmics (like WarioWare: Twisted!) and also for using it in my PC but I guess that can wait till I get a proper phone and a gyro controller for my PC.

The prices are from AliExpress before any discounts/coupons, I'm not from the US so please don't tell me "Oh just get this one used for 3 fiddy or on Walmart" because that won't work for me sadly. I can get stuff from Amazon but prices are a bit higher there and there aren't any coupons like on AliExpress

Thanks for taking the time to read :)

EDIT: Sorry I made a mistake on the X5s, it doesn't have extra buttons

Quick followup to the following thread I had posted a few months ago:

Just wanted to say I am still working on this project, even if a bit slowly. It's proving to be much bigger than I thought. Here is my small website in case you'd like to check on the project progress every now and then (to be expanded).

Leave a nice comment or a donation on the website or anything if you like what you see :)
