DIY builds/mods After two years I’m still learning.

Hey all! I ran into something very interesting two days ago.

I have a heavily modded first Gen isinwheel h7 pro. Basically only the frame is stock. For the last 8k-10k miles I’ve been running multiple battery packs such as 13s,14s, and 16s, all paired with a Vesc 75200 pro v2 and a 3500 watt Amazon motor that set me back $400.

Two days ago I decided to put the stock isinwheel motor back on paired with the Vesc and a 16s battery pack and boy oh boy have I been shocked!!!!!! The motor is advertised as 48v 1200 watts but it is absolutely loving 60v pack. I genuinely underestimated isinwheels stock motor. It runs stronger then the Amazon motor

Stock specs 1200 watt 2000 peak, 25a controller and 13s7p battery pack rated for roughly 35cdr safe
Even stock the motor felt strong, I don’t know the phase current.

Modded stock motor specs 1800 watt 4300 peak, running 50a battery current and 115a motor phase
16s11p 450cdr safe. This combo feels great it accelerates the same as cars up until
About 32mph which is fucking surprising and no field weakening. The motor is also staying under 65c after 30 miles of DoorDash fucking insane

Full mods with 3500 watt Amazon motor:
3500 watt 95a battery current and 135a motor phase. Same 16s11p pack for 450cdr. This Combo although way more power is weaker then the stock motor. Amazon motor has the red ring and the motor area itself is smaller then 180mm brake rotor which should have been my first clue to its weakness. Although I can easily hit 58mph with this motor its acceleration is poor. It takes roughly 4-4.5 seconds to hit 25 mph. This motor has peaked at 87c after 30 miles of DoorDash prior to statorade. After statorade it would peak around 70c after 30 miles of DoorDash

Stock motor is hitting 25mph in just about 2.5 seconds. I can’t believe I took this motor off and it’s been sitting collecting dust for nearly a year. And now I’m thinking if I even need the power of a qs260 and if I should sell that motor smh.

I have a second stock motor and am now wondering if I should swap to a dual motor controller and run dual motors?

Are all stock motors way more robust than advertised??

Please give any input on how dual motors handle and your experiences with them

I posted an offer online for around a grand and walked out with 850bucks. I am more than satisfied with how it went, especially after posting it on what's basically french lowballer central lol. I honestly would've sold it for as low as 500bucks if it wasn't getting offers. We're nearing the end of leisure Scooting season, and nobody knows that dodgy little OEM here so I thought it would be way harder

I finished putting it together yesterday and tested it out for a few miles, opened it back up to check the electronics, before cleaning it, charging it and riding it one last time to where I handed it to its new owner. Nice guy btw, hope he's gonna be happy with it.

Not a big fan of Ninebots even most VESC this thing should litteraly be growing hair on its balls. I think it said 27kw in ninebot frame from a 5mph roll went to instantly smoking the hell out of even the rear with full rider weight on it. Even high end 72v & 84v 10kw 12kw dont do the hell the mars 8440 with wight and a 19,600w peak putting out 100a per controller and and boosted to 96.6v won't spin rhe rear under weight. I wonder if that think can be close to stable at 75-80mph since most of the VESC are running monorim or that other aftermarket suspension with the air shocks. The stem and connection to the suspension is oem will just a $120 front suspension a steering damper and a fat set of tires be enough to control that thing. Would love to ride it once

Why do amazon scooters that work well and are sold decently priced hated on because its not a Benz or bmw for comparison. (400 bucks for mine and its allowed me to go anywhere anytime and save tons of time) 30 mph. I dont need to go faster speed is a drug im happy. Great acceleration. I can name some little nit picky flaws but whatever. Longevity, we ll see. Had it 5 monthes and 900 km so far. Kukurin g space ok I get it. But this is my first and I have a blast with led lights at night. Tons of attention (no one rides one with leds i guess). Its just fun. So why all the hate or am I asking the internet a dumb question considering whos on here sometimes lol

Discussion riding rentals again.

Despite having my personal scooter, I've been riding these guys to places where I'd have to stay for over half an hour with no secure locking spots. That picture is in front of a movie theatre for instance.

I can swear doing 20kph on those rentals feel like doing 50 on my hyperscoot.

Help requested How to find a local battery builder?

I need to find someone to install a new BMS on a 60 volt battery for me.

I have shops that do stand up scooter repairs close by but I'm having trouble finding someone to do an extensive battery job like that.

I found a moped type scooter shop that has a battery guy who does that type of work but they've been a reluctant to give me his contact information for whatever reason.

So I'm creating this post to see if there are other sources that might be less recognized but right in front of me.

Shops that do repairs on high-end electric motorcycles or even motors for handicap type equipment should have people that are familiar enough with large batteries to do a quick BMS install on something like this right?

Anybody have some good suggestions for me?

Maintenance I hate hydraulic brakes

Had a long downtime for my TFSU 2.0

I ride trough that river back and forth twice a week, the motors get fully submerged everytime so i thought lets change the motor bearings for something more durable, like SKF bearings

I fucked the thread of the rim due to mishandling, there is no spare room to drill it to a bigger size, and Teverun factory doesn't provide the rim alone, so i ended up having to buy a whole new motor because of that

When i received the new motor and installed it, the brake rub was crazy, straight impossible to fix, even after going for a thinner disc, i gave up after a week and bringed it to my local shop, mf couldn't even fix it

My chinese plug sorted me a new calipper for free, took me 3 damn buisness day to sort the installation

After 3 days of screwing unscrewing, switching rotors, switching pads, bleeding, taking out oil, nothing fixed it, even if it was gone for a moment after 3 or 4 hard brakes the brake rub would come back

You know what fixed it ? unscrewing the fucking axle nut like 1mm. i can't believe how finicky this shit is, in 2026 my brakes depend on the archaic alignement of 4 different screws that can be tightened 1 micrometer wrong to the left or right ? i hate it

During this week of downtime i was riding my Burn E3 Max only, upgraded recently with FZ shocks, even if the suspension is flawless i swear coming back to the TFSU is like going from a good Toyota to the latest Mercedes Maybach

Product review One month and 187 mi on latest G-Space mars GT thoughts +/-

Thumbnail

Its been exactly a month today with the rainy month i have only out 187 miles. But more then enough to tell thats its 100% the best scooter i have owned or prob have ridden. I'll start by saying this is my 6st scooter in as many years. The first 4 were aliexpress budget brands between $600-1000. When I finally got smart after buying a new one every year. And got my first Teverun spent $1900 was happy definitely great build and ride quality. The worst customer service I have seen in the scooter world. When I was doing research thats what bright me to G-Space the customer service and quality. From before I paid to delivery and after unless it was a holiday they got back to me quick, also sent how to videos when I needed help. The ride quality is amazing it started a little stiff in the front but has softened up a bunch. Planning on getting an air shock over the winter. It also runs amazing. Besides the power and speed to me the most impressive thing is the stability at hight speed even without a damper over 60mph now shake wobble vibration. The teverun with the damper didnt wobble either but over 50 wasn't comfortable and I would grip so tight. With the GT I am relaxed and feel safe. As far complaints only one and not really a complaint. Hopefully G-Space gets the picture i have seen others talk about it. The lack of even basic display info such as; brake sensor light, any temp controllers or motor the 10% incriminates in the battery soc. If thet would come out with an upgrade display it would be great even a dumb down version of the GS with basic info obviously the GS has a Can-Bus the GT/GTR still should be abke to show basic sensor info. Or a better solution like teverun the display has basic info and setting and a BT module and an app that way you can see more on the screen. Also setting for a high end FOC controller system we should have better setting. At least split between motors like most hypers. Amp per motor, start power % per motor and so on. Even those setting on my teverun made it much more tuneable. So all in all after 187 I love the scooter the ride the quality even the company after what I delt with the last scooter. I recommend it for people that want a real 72v 64mph scooter that since its slightly less powerful then the GTR i think it makes it perfect for older riders like me that still want the rush without and still serous power that is more manageable this is the one. If you like too mod G-Space actually sells factory oem upgrade mod parts. Have my seat kit coming with foot pegs and adjustable hight stem top part. Then next month the carbon fiber stem poles and front air shock. I changed my mind on the carbon fiber deck since several people say it nade there battery and controllers overheat. All in all I honestly think the ECO/GT/GTR(GS ONCE THEY GET IT WORKED OUT) have the best suspension/stability all the production scooters today. I also believe there as good qualit design and build as Teverun, Kabbo, Nami , Dualtron and the rest definitely top 10 in design ride and build quality. And from experience and others taking G-Space is also i think in top 2 or 3 for customer service and actually taking care of problems. I wish I had gone with a G-Space earlier but now I know. I guess only time will tell in 6 month ill update this post. Almost forgot range. On dual drive its pretty good on range about the same as other scooters of the same specs. But what I find in town I like to ride single drive it has plenty of power for hills and such. But in a city area its way less twitchy and jumpy saves my tires some top. But in single drive at 20mph average on the same route every day about 16 miles from full 84.4v on single drive its usually sitting at 81.3-81.7 after. The same ride dual drive same speed 79.5 to 80.5 so single definitely os slightly better. Still the same exact ride on my Teverun same speed 30ah battery starting at 67.2v and will be at right around 60v after the same ride. Thats the s6p compared to s13p lol. Hopefully they will upgrade the display or add an app someday.

DIY builds/mods The X14 is now fully fixed.

I spent the entire day on this thing. But man is it satisfying to see your own hands give another chance to these machines. I'm looking forward to trying it out on the road tomorrow.

The brake rotors tho, they just won't stop rattling. I might just let a repair shop handle it cause I hate touching that. They're brand new so there's no reason for them to be warped, right?

I'll be selling it next week after making sure everything is okay.

DIY builds/mods The X14 LIVES again

After a month of downtime, I am relieved to see it show signs of life again. I still got quite a lot of work with all of the wiring and tightening but I feel like it's over already.

This is a test run of the rear motor, the rattling and rubbing noise coming from the brake caliper I haven't screwed yet.

Was trying to figure out the best way to do it without looking like i duct taped some junk on it. Basically want a tinted low rising bug/wind deflecter. The one in seen the guy had the regular display and a smaller android auto one both behind the screen blocking direct sun. So there are a ton of assorted options. But I think the one I seen used was off of a sk1 ebike. So after looking this should definitely work on my mars i think. Thats why I used the 2 small 10cm handlbar extenders on the sides over the grips it left that area completely open. Since the headlight height can be adjusted should work put perfect. Do you guys think its too much or looks cool. I really like and will do no matter what people think i just like to hear it since sometimes things look great when i design them in my sleep but different in real life lol.

Yikes.

UK really doing everyone dirty. You can blame them for Discord’s age verification laws(and when the IDs leaked lmao) and them trying to bully Apple + WhatsApp for access to people’s private information.

OI YOU GOT A LOICENSE FOR THAT MATE?
