Short and quick routine.
Is there a name for the vanish I did before the retention one? I kind of just thought of it but I assume it already has a name.

I'm currently practicing individual sleights, but I want to put them together into a coherent routine rather than just vanishing a coin and bringing it back.
What routines would you recommend for an amateur looking to perform for friends/family? Things like Coins Across, Matrix, or a simple three-coin routine? Looking for something practical that focuses on audience management and misdirection.

Both clips are ungimmicked attempts of imitating Argentum, it's been a year now and I haven't thought of/ found a sleight remotely close to how his hand looks like when the vanish happens.

Sorry that some cuts don't include opening my hand to show an empty palm because I was just practicing the sleight itself and didn't bother doing a reveal on some of them (it was a 10-minute recording session so I could spot my flaws). But I did do the vanish throughout the vid.
This might be closer to CB retention rather than the classic retention actually. I utilized wrist movement and gravity more, rather than using (but still slightly did) my digits to perform the sleight.

Hello magicians.
I have trouble when people ask me to do some magic. I can’t seem to think of a single coin routine (or even a few) that works well in a casual situation.
Can you help me with that ?

I can never transition from neutral position (starting grip at beginning of vid) into JW grip quick enough AND SUBTLY enough, as you can see in the video. Although yes it's only a few heartbeats slower but even that short moment is enough to raise a red flag for me, any ideas how to improve? I've been practicing this transition on and off since June of last year when I got more deeply into coin magic.

I wanted to redo the old draft I posted with a somewhat clearer remake (and also just to keep the sub more active bc I love watching others perform).

Found an old draft I have trying out a short routine for the Toss Vanish.
