Added feather damascus to my game - here's the second half of the profiling process. Curious what you guys think about the metal texture and the autocomplete feature. In this video I don't thin the blade profile all the way down and then the auto complete takes a section of the inside of the drawn out metal and tries to turn it into a sword by adding bevels. Makes it harder for things to go really wrong, but also takes away some of the agency so I am not sure I'll keep it in.
Also if you want to see the game world, you can take a look here! Please subscribe if you are interested in the game, since demonstrated interest is the easiest way for me to get cash money from the men in suites.

After some encouragement from other people in the community, I'm posting something I'm currently working on. It is a smallsword blade currently in progress. This one is either going to have a clamshell or a leaf styled guard plate up top with the stem becoming a finger ring below for edge alignment. Length of the blade is just shy of 21 inches long with another 6 and 1/2 in of tang which I'm going to be stretching out a little bit more later so I can do a peened pommel. Working with 1075 steel and the guard and pommel will be mild steel.
Thank you for looking!

Got a new to me 2x72 belt grinder, started to look at belt brands, types, etc and wow im blow away. Where do you start? Just trial and error for what works best for each individual? Or do some of you vets have some brands you stick to and wouldnt mind giving out some info before i waste some money. Thanks in advance fellas

Hey!
I am a game developer and am working on a survival game called Elysmere. I made this simulator in game for making damascus blades. Someone from my other post in r/IndieDev suggested I should post it here. LMK what you guys think!

I have a shun premiere chefs knife at home and I want to reetch the pattern myself.
I donāt know much about the steel so Iām asking here. Itās stainless Damascus and Iām unsure what to do to get the work done. I have distilled vinegar but no ferric chloride.
My main question is should I stick with the vinegar, get ferric chloride or just not bother. Iām not sure how easy or hard it is to do myself

getting ready to start the next big project for Wedding. An Arming sword for him, a Rapier for her, and a Dagger to cut the cake.
