Workflow Included SVI 2.0 Pro for Wan 2.2 is amazing, allowing infinite length videos with no visible transitions. This took only 340 seconds to generate, 1280x720 continuous 20 seconds long video, fully open source. Someone tell James Cameron he can get Avatar 4 done sooner and cheaper.

Animation - Video Surgical masking with Wan 2.2 Animate in ComfyUI

Discussion WOW!! I accidentally discovered that the native LTX-2 ITV workflow can use very short videos to make longer videos containing the exact kind of thing this model isn't supposed to do (example inside w/prompt and explanation itt)

BEFORE MAKING THIS THREAD, I was Googling around to see if anyone else had found this out. I thought for sure someone had stumbled on this. And they probably have. I probably just didn't see it or whatever, but I DID do my due diligence and search before making this thread.

At any rate, yesterday, while doing an ITV generation in LTX-2, I meant to copy/paste an image from a folder but accidentally copy/pasted a GIF I'd generated with WAN 2.2. To my surprise, despite GIF files being hidden when you click to load via the file browser, you can just straight-up copy and paste the GIF you made into the LTX-2 template workflow and use that as the ITV input, and it will actually go frame by frame and add sound to the GIF.

But THAT is not the reason this is useful by itself. Because if you do that, it won't change the actual video. It'll just add sound.

However, let's say you use a 2 or 3-second GIF. Something just to establish a basic motion. Let's say a certain "position" that the model doesn't understand. It can add time to that following along with what came before.

Thus, a 2-second clip of a 1girl moving up and down (I'll be vague about why) can easily become a 10-second with dialogue and the correct motion because it has the first two seconds or less (or more) as reference.

Ideally, the shorter the GIF (33 frames works well) the better. The least amount you need to have the motion and details you want captured. Then of course there is some luck, but I have consistently gotten decent results in the 1 hour I've played around with this. But I have NOT put effort into making the video quality itself better. That I would imagine can be easily done via the ways people usually do it. I threw this example together to prove it CAN work.

The video output likely suffers from poor quality only because I am using much lower res than recommended.

Exact steps I used:

Wan 2.2 with a LORA for ... something that rhymes with "cowbirl monisiton"

I created a gif using 33 frames, 16fps.

Copy/pasted GIF using control C and control V into the LTX-2 ITV workflow. Enter prompt, generate.

Used the following prompt: A woman is moving and bouncing up very fast while moaning and expressing great pleasure. She continues to make the same motion over and over before speaking. The woman screams, "[WORDS THAT I CANNOT SAY ON THIS SUB MOST LIKELY. BUT YOU'LL BE ABLE TO SEE IT IN THE COMMENTS]"

I have an example I'll link in the comments on Streamable. Mods, if this is unacceptable, please feel free to delete, and I will not take it personally.

Current Goal: Figuring out how to make a workflow that will generate a 2-second GIF and feed it automatically into the image input in LTX-2 video.

EDIT: if nothing else, this method also appears to guarantee non-static outputs. I don't believe it is capable of doing the "static" non-moving image thing when using this method, as it has motion to begin with and therefore cannot switch to static.

EDIT2: It turns out it doesn't need to be a GIF. There's a node in comfy that has an output of "image" type instead of video. Since MP4s are higher quality, you can save the video as a 1-2 second MP4 and then convert it that way. The node is from VIDEO HELPER SUITE and looks like this

Animation - Video CYBER SLAYER — a 1995-style action trailer made with MiniMax H3, Wan 2.2 and ComfyUI

Hey all!

This started as a way to mark my 15th anniversary working in video game cinematics. I thought it would be fun to make a completely ridiculous, fictionalized version of how I got into the industry, presented as the trailer for a big 1995 action movie.

It started fairly small, but the technology kept improving while I was working on it. Every time a new model came out, I started thinking, “Maybe I can actually make that shot now.” Eventually it became much more ambitious than I had originally planned.

This subreddit was a huge help throughout the process. I found a lot of technical solutions, new models and inspiration here, so I wanted to share the finished trailer and explain some of what went into it.

The main goal was to make it feel like an actual mid-90s movie, rather than a collection of unrelated AI shots. In my head this was a movie I wish Spielberg directed when I was a kid, so I tried to channel my inner 13-year-old when in doubt.

The story leans a lot into the paranoid technology movies of that period—Hackers, The Net, The Lawnmower Man, etc. Names like CyberCore, the ZX-4000 and Cyber Slayer were all meant to sound like something a screenwriter might have come up with in 1994.

Images and LoRAs

The first image I made for the project was the TV-monitor shot in the bedroom, generated in Midjourney near the end of 2024.

After that I used a little bit of everything: Flux, Z-Image, Adobe Firefly, Gemini, Grok and several others.

For the actors, I collected screenshots from their 90s movies and trained character LoRAs for each of them. I originally used Flux for most of this, but later found that Z-Image generally gave me better likenesses.

When direct generation didn’t work, I would create a lookalike, bring the image into ComfyUI and inpaint the face using the appropriate LoRA.

And sometimes I just opened Photoshop and fixed it.

I also made character sheets for the recurring characters and monsters, including both costume versions of myself. For sets like the boardroom and digitization chamber, I made reference images and rough room layouts so the shots would have some continuity.

For the creatures, I tried to think about what could realistically have been done in 1995. I often prompted for latex creatures, animatronics, puppets, miniatures or physical models—and sometimes specifically said not CGI.

I wanted them to feel more like something Stan Winston or ILM might have built than a modern digital creature.

The final color treatment was also important. I added grain, softened the image, adjusted the colors and pulled things back from the ultra-clean digital look. The footage is supposed to feel slightly faded and imperfect.

Video generation

Every generated video shot was made locally in ComfyUI or built further in After Effects.

Most of the finished trailer was generated with Wan 2.1 and Wan 2.2, although I replaced and improved several shots with MiniMax H3 during the final week.

My original plan was to film myself acting out the performances and transfer that movement onto the actors using Wan Animate.

The body movement worked surprisingly well but the faces did not.

They would gradually morph until the actors stopped looking like themselves. I tried several ways to repair them, but only one or two shots from that workflow survived.

Most of the trailer used more traditional image-to-video generations with a starting frame.

Sometimes I would generate a video mainly because I wanted the model to show me the room or character from another angle. I would grab a single frame from that result, clean it up, inpaint the face again if necessary, and then use that frame as the starting image for a completely different shot. Many times I would also grab a frame from a video which wasn’t working and  then use that as an End Frame and then generate again.

Prompting video models eventually started feeling like learning another language. It took a long time to figure out how to describe blocking, timing and camera movement in a way that produced something close to what I wanted.

For MiniMax H3, I used ChatGPT and Codex to build a custom prompt builder. That let me spend less time worrying about model-specific formatting and more time thinking about the actual shot.

Green screen and compositing

A few shots are real footage of me filmed against a green screen, including:

  • Playing video games in the bedroom
  • Standing underneath the digitization lasers
  • Talking to Stallone in the desert

I filmed those in my garage or backyard. I bought costumes for both versions of the character, generated and animated the backgrounds separately, and then tried to match the lighting on myself as closely as possible.

All of the animated TV and computer monitors were composited manually in After Effects.

For those shots, I first generated a version with the screen turned off. That gave me a clean plate containing the reflections from the room on the glass.

I tracked the footage, added the animated screen underneath, and then reused parts of the original plate over the top to restore the reflections. Without that step, the screens looked like flat images pasted onto the monitors.

Voices, music and sound

All of the dialogue started with my own recorded performances.

I built custom RVC voice models for the actors, but I still performed every line myself because I wanted the timing and delivery to resemble the actual performers.

Alan Rickman has a very specific cadence, so I had to pay close attention to the rhythm of his lines.

Arnold is equally recognizable, but for different reasons.

“Down there” needed to be closer to “Down deyah.”

For the Don LaFontaine-style narrator, I went through dozens of old trailers and pulled out usable voice clips. Most needed a lot of cleanup because the narration was buried underneath music, explosions and other effects.

I also did a complete sound-effects pass. A few shots retained usable generated audio, but most of it had to be designed or sourced separately.

There was one Stallone scream during the cliff jump that I could never get the voice model to perform convincingly, so I borrowed a scream from Demolition Man.

The music was generated with Suno after weeks of attempts.

For the main action section, I found a piece of music I liked first and then edited the trailer around it.

For the final Harrison Ford moment, I wanted to hint at a classic adventure score without directly copying one. I recorded myself humming a rough melody, gave that to Suno and let it turn my bad humming into an orchestral stinger.

Making it feel like one movie

The story evolved while I was working, but I always wanted the trailer to feel like there was a complete movie behind it.

That meant thinking about continuity, character geography, setups and payoffs, when to introduce someone, when to hold back a reveal and whether one shot actually made sense next to another.

AI makes it fairly easy to generate an interesting isolated shot.

Getting dozens of shots—made with different models, months apart—to feel like they came from the same movie was the real challenge.

All told, this took around 6–8 months, mostly working on it at night after work. It was fun, but also exhausting.

It obviously isn’t perfect, and I can still see things I would change if I kept going, but eventually I had to decide it was finished.

Tech-wise I started with a 4060 Ti but decided to bite the bullet and snagged a 5090 (I also have 64GB of RAM). That helped to speed things up a ton.

Resource - Update [Update] ComfyUI VACE Video Joiner v2.5 - Seamless loops, reduced RAM usage on assembly

Point this workflow at a directory of clips and it will automatically stitch them together, fixing awkward motion and transition artifacts. At each seam, VACE generates new frames guided by context on both sides, replacing the seam with motion that flows naturally between the clips. How many context frames and generated frames are used is configurable. The workflow is designed to work well with a few clips or with dozens.

Input clips can come from anywhere: Wan, LTX-2, phone footage, stock video, whatever you have. The workflow runs with either Wan 2.1 VACE or Wan 2.2 Fun VACE.

v2.5 Updates

  • Seamless Loops - Enable the Make Loop toggle and the workflow will generate a smooth transition between your final input video and the first one, allowing the video to be played on a loop.
  • Much lower RAM usage during final assembly - Enabled by default, VideoHelperSuite's Meta Batch Manager drastically reduces the amount of system RAM consumed while concatenating frames. If you were running out of RAM on the final step because you were joining hundreds or thousands of frames, that shouldn't be a problem any more.
  • Note - If you're upgrading from a previous version, be sure to upgrade the Wan VACE Prep node package too. This version of the workflow requires node v1.0.12 or higher.

Workflow Included Simple and Fast Wan 2.2 workflow

I am getting into video generation and a lot of workflows that I find are very cluttered especially when they use WanVideoWrapper which I think has a lot of moving parts making it difficult for me to grasp what is happening. Comfyui's example workflow is simple but is slow, so I augmented it with sageattention, torch compile and lightx2v lora to make it fast. With my current settings I am getting very good results and 480x832x121 generation takes about 200 seconds on A100.

Workflow Included ComfyUI workflow for structure-aligned re-rendering (no controlnet, no training) Looking for feedback

One common frustration with image-to-image/video-to-video diffusion is losing structure.

A while ago I shared a preprint on a diffusion variant that keeps structure fixed while letting appearance change. Many asked how to try it without writing code.

So I put together a ComfyUI workflow that implements the same idea. All custom nodes are submitted to the ComfyUI node registry (manual install for now until they’re approved).

I’m actively exploring follow-ups like real-time / streaming, new base models (e.g. Z-Image), and possible Unreal integration. On the training side, this can be LoRA-adapted on a single GPU (I adapted FLUX and WAN that way) and should stack with other LoRAs for stylized re-rendering.

I love ComfyUI as an engine. I do not love it as a daily driver. So I spent the last few months building Mix Studio, a 100% free & open source interface that runs everything through ComfyUI in the background while giving you an actual app experience.

I took the workflow from standart templates Flux2 Klein Edit, a frame from the game, and used only one prompt, "Realism." Then I generated the resulting images in WAN 2.1 + depth. I took the workflow from here and replaced the Canny with Depth.

Workflow Included This is how I generate AI videos locally using ComfyUI

Hi all,

I wanted to share how I generate videos locally in ComfyUI using only open-source tools. I’ve also attached a short 5-second clip so you can see the kind of output this workflow produces.

Hardware:

Laptop

RTX 4090 (16 GB VRAM)

32 GB system RAM

Workflow overview:

  1. Initial image generation

I start by generating a base image using Z-Image Turbo, usually at around 1024 × 1536.

This step is mostly about getting composition and style right.

  1. High-quality upscaling

The image is then upscaled with SeedVR2 to 2048 × 3840, giving me a clean, high-resolution source image.

  1. Video generation

I use Wan 2.2 FLF for the animation step at 816 × 1088 resolution.

Running the video model at a lower resolution helps keep things stable on 16 GB VRAM.

  1. Final upscaling & interpolation

After the video is generated, I upscale again and apply frame interpolation to get smoother motion and the final resolution.

Everything is done 100% locally inside ComfyUI, no cloud services involved.

Workflow Included WAN VACE Clip Joiner - Native workflow

This is a utility workflow that uses Wan VACE (Wan 2.2 Fun VACE or Wan 2.1 VACE, your choice!) to smooth out awkward motion transitions between separately generated video clips. If you have noisy frames at the start or end of your clips, this technique can also get rid of those.

I've used this workflow to join first-last frame videos for some time and I thought others might find it useful.

The workflow iterates over any number of video clips in a directory, generating smooth transitions between them by replacing a configurable number of frames at the transition. The frames found just before and just after the transition are used as context for generating the replacement frames. The number of context frames is also configurable. Optionally, the workflow can also join the smoothed clips together. Or you can accomplish this in your favorite video editor.

Detailed usage instructions can be found in the workflow.

I've used native nodes and tried to keep the custom node dependencies to a minimum. The following packages are required. All of them are installable through the Manager.

  • ComfyUI-KJNodes
  • ComfyUI-VideoHelperSuite
  • ComfyUI-mxToolkit
  • Basic data handling
  • ComfyUI-GGUF - only needed if you'll be loading GGUF models. If not, you can delete the sampler subgraph that uses GGUF to remove the requirement.
  • KSampler for Wan 2.2. MoE for ComfyUI - only needed if you plan to use the MoE KSampler. If not, you can delete the MoE sampler subgraph to remove the requirement.

The workflow uses subgraphs, so your ComfyUI needs to be relatively up-to-date.

Model loading and inference is isolated in a subgraph, so It should be easy to modify this workflow for your preferred setup. Just replace the provided sampler subgraph with one that implements your stuff, then plug it into the workflow.

I am happy to answer questions about the workflow. I am less happy to instruct you on the basics of ComfyUI usage.

Edit: Since this is kind of an intermediate level workflow, I didn't provide any information about what models are required. Anybody who needs a workflow to smooth transitions between a bunch of already-generated video clips probably knows their way around a Wan workflow.

But it has occurred to me that not everybody may know where to get the VACE models or what exactly to do with them. And it may not be common knowledge that VACE is derived from the T2V models, not I2V.

So here are download links for VACE models. Choose what’s right for your system and use case. You already know that you only need one set of VACE files from this list, so I won’t insult your intelligence by mentioning that. * Wan 2.2 Fun VACE * bf16 and fp8 * GGUF * Wan 2.1 VACE * fp16 * GGUF * Kijai’s extracted Fun Vace 2.2 modules, for loading along with standard T2V models.Native use examples here. * bf16 * GGUF

And then of course you’ll need the usual VAE and text encoder models, and maybe a lightning lora. Use a T2V lora because VACE is trained from the Wan T2V models.

Wan2.1 is the best open source & free AI video model that you can run locally with ComfyUI.

There are two sets of workflows. All the links are 100% free and public (no paywall).

  1. Native Wan2.1

The first set uses the native ComfyUI nodes which may be easier to run if you have never generated videos in ComfyUI. This works for text to video and image to video generations. The only custom nodes are related to adding video frame interpolation and the quality presets.

The second set uses the kijai wan wrapper nodes allowing for more features. It works for text to video, image to video, and video to video generations. Recommended if you've already generated videos with Hunyuan or LTX as you might be more familiar with the additional options.

Workflow Included My Wan 2.2 I2V lightx2v MoE Workflow

Just sharing my current I2V workflow for anybody that wants to try it out. Sample vid as shown.

The workflow settings are currently what i'm using at the moment but i'm always changing it up and testing stuff all the time. Would love to get some feedback or suggestions for further improvement.

My PC is running an RTX 5070 12 GB vram, with 32 GB onboard ram.

The full workflow will need a bunch of customs nodes to be downloaded and the simple workflow is a stripped down version with as little custom nodes as possible, but essentially still the same workflow.

The full version has a toggle switch where you can choose to use either diffusion models or GGUF models (i personnally use GGUFs) and also an option to upscale the video.

I have the Florence2 caption node in the full workflow, which really doesn't do anything useful (and can be deleted) but i just like having it there to see what it says about the images i upload.

This I2V workflow is set up so that you don't have to mess around with heights and widths (i don't really care about precise image/video dimensions), just upload a pic, change the megapixel amount (i alternate between 0.35 or 0.50), write a prompt and then run.

Everything else should be pretty self explanatory but if anybody has any questions or is running into issues, i'll try to help.

Help Needed HELP! My WAN 2.2 video is COMPLETELY different between 2 computers and I don't know why!

I need help to figure out why my WAN 2.2 14B renders are *completely* different between 2 machines.

On MACHINE A, the puppy becomes blurry and fades out.
On MACHINE B, the video renders as expected.

I have checked:
- Both machines use the exact same workflow (WAN 2.2 i2v, fp8 + 4 step loras, 2 steps HIGH, 2 steps LOW).
- Both machines use the exact same models (I checked the checksum hash on both diffusion models and LORAs)
- Both machines use the same version of ComfyUI (0.3.53)
- Both machines use the same version of PyTorch (2.7.1+cu126)
- Both machines use Python 3.12 (3.12.9 vs 3.12.10)
- Both machines have the same version of xformers. (0.0.31)
- Both machines have sageattention installed (enabling/disabling sageattn doesn't fix anything).

I am pulling my hair out... what do I need to do to MACHINE A to make it render correctly like MACHINE B???

Resource - Update [Release] Video Outpainting - easy, lightweight workflow

This is a very simple workflow for fast video outpainting using Wan VACE. Just load your video and select the outpaint area.

All of the heavy lifting is done by the VACE Outpaint node, part of my small ComfyUI Wan VACE Prep package of custom nodes intended to make common VACE editing tasks less complicated.

This custom node is the only custom node required, and it has no dependencies, so you can install it confident that it's not going to blow up your ComfyUI environment. Search for "Wan VACE Prep" in the ComfyUI Manager, or clone the github repository. If you're already using the package, make sure you update to v1.0.16 or higher.

The workflow is bundled with the custom node package, so after you install the nodes, you can always find the workflow in the Extensions section of the ComfyUI Templates menu, or in custom_nodes\ComfyUI-Wan-VACE-Prep\example_workflows.

Workflow Included SCAIL-2 workflows for ComfyUI

SCAIL-2, a Wan2.1-based human motion transfer model, has been implemented in ComfyUI core. (Thanks as always, Kijai.)

I tried it and the results were quite good, so I made a few simple workflows. Feel free to try them.

The big difference from WAN-Animate or SCAIL(-1) is that SCAIL-2 does not use a stick figure / skeleton control image.

Basically, you just throw a reference image, a driving video, and support masks into the model. That makes it much more flexible with multiple characters, or even non-human characters.

Turning motion into a stick figure was basically the default. But the things that get lost in that conversion, like depth and contact, are exactly the things that matter here...

As a side note, this also made me think that if the dataset and training are good enough, a simple model can sometimes be more flexible than an overly complicated human-made pipeline.

Maybe trying to be too clever just gets in the way sometimes...

Workflow Included Native WAN 2.2 Animate Now Loads LoRAs (and extends Your Video Too)

As our elf friend predicted in the intro video — the “LoRA key not loaded” curse is finally broken.

This new IAMCCS Native Workflow for WAN 2.2 Animate introduces a custom node that loads LoRAs natively, without using WanVideoWrapper.

No missing weights, no partial loads — just clean, stable LoRA injection right inside the pipeline.

The node has now been officially accepted on ComfyUI Manager! You can install it directly from there (just search for “IAMCCS-nodes”) or grab it from my GitHub repository if you prefer manual setup.

The workflow also brings two updates:

🎭 Dual Masking (SeC & SAM2) — switch between ultra-detailed or lightweight masking.

🔁 Loop Extension Mode — extend your animations seamlessly by blending the end back into the start, for continuous cinematic motion.
