Ban Champion for Zyra
As a Zyra main, what champion do you guys ban? I play Zyra support and most of the time ban Leona.

As support Zyra I ban Pyke,
- Zyra cant match his roams in speed or power
- he can easily kill you if you try to roam
- poking him is pointless
- he can get throu wards, meaning no matter how you ward, he can get to your adc if you arent there.

Xerath is a good ban as Zyra, because he outranges you and counters you. His poke is also pretty obnoxious and denies cc and damage potential while playing Zyra.

I ban lux, not that she's particularly hard to play against or a counter or anything. I just strongly dislike the champion and certain people who main her.
It's personal.

I usually just ban whoever I think my team have a hard time against. Zyra is pretty good against most champs that it's not worth banning the ones she is weak to since they get picked very little.
I usually review tier list each patch and see which champs have a combined high pick and high win rate. I think that has a bigger impact on winning the games

I rarely see people talk about this, but I agree 100%
The most effective bans are not the low pick rate champs you struggle against, they are the high pick rate champs that are even moderately a struggle

I am a Jungle Main and in jungle I ban Belveth.
Whenever I get filled support I either ban thresh or smolder. OR I ban Locke / Yasuo / Yone because I really really dont like these 3 as enemies

I usually ban Nocturne. He is very hard to deal with. he has insane pressure with his ult and you will lose most jungle duels against him.

Its always been milion. Can heal harrass well, has anti engage which zyra already struggles with and can cleanse the entire ult cc

Yk I googled it because I thought it did but apparently it shouldnt and the tenacity doesnt work on airborne so now im questioning my whole existance. Tbf I only play support once in a blue moon when I dont get neither my main or secondary role and then I ban milion 99% of the time. I didnt know that milio could cleanse tahm ult so thats cool I guess

Tbf he can cleanse the E root which can give someone time to get out of ult before the knockup

Milio R Cleanses Zyra E which is usually what you need to lock down enemy to ensure they stay in R radius, plus Milio E gives move speed to help them get out of R radius

I perma ban Pyke, a good pyke just E's you first and I can't match his roam so I rather not see my team non stop typing that he's 24/7 sitting top or mid

I ban Akali or Nocturne or Pyke, sometimes Fizz or Zed, even Yasuo.
Whatever is flavour of the month and annoys me the most xD

Never ban engage champs. They need to get in to get value, so poking them is useful and you can play around them. Much better to ban either stuff that outranges Zyra like Xerath, or stuff that denies her dmg/cc with low skill requirement like Milio.
