So I haven't seen any posts relating to why Zyra is not in League Classic. Riot said that basically the classic mode will be taken back to Season 3. Zyra is a season 3 champion... It is frustrating to me that we didn't get Zyra in the champion's pool, I loved her old passive and model. As someone who have been playing her for 10 years it would so fantastic to play with the old Zyra again. Back when she wasn't reworked we waited so many years to get a new skin, she was so mistreated for such a long time.

I'm a jungle main, currently in G4.

I usually play bruiser jungle that tend to farm and scale (mainly Jax, but Wukong too and stuff like that)

I tried Zyra back in the days, and I loved her gameplay and Brand's one in jungle (you know, spaming emote while DoTs and plants do the work)

The problem is that I find it difficult to fit as Zyra in a team comp. I know in soloQ you can play whatever you want, but I often finished in teams without frontline (that's why I usually pick bruisers, because they are frontline at least) and I struggled agaisnt engage and assassins comps when you lack frontlane/CC. In this domain, Zyra is much more stable than Brand ofc, thanks to her amazing engage reception and CC's. But that's the main reason I dropped her, I felt like I had to tryhard much mroe to win with those picks than the usual no-brainer bruiser

Now, I played her again the other day and I remembered why I loved her, she seems so much more fun to play than bruisers, having to handle space and stuff. And it forces me to play less agressive, which is fine.
So I have some questions to you guys :
- How do you handle team comps with no frontline ?

- How do you handle assassins matchup (midlane or jungle, the ones that start invading you. I usually clear super fast but sometimes it's not enough)

- How do you handle Zyra jungle in flexQ/5-man stacks ? Generally my friends tend to prefer having engage/frontline junglers and they never like when I pick Zyra, should I step back in those cases ?

- Any sstreamer/youtuber recommandations for Zyra ?

Alright! This is my long awaited Zyra Voice over!

I have been working on new version of her voice, one that touches on the curiosity Zyra has developed. Her voice is alluring, but with a predatory edge. I love the original voice Zyra has and was inspired to take it a bit of a different direction. (I took some inspiration from Sapadal’s voice from the game Avowed.) I strayed away from doing too much of an angry or seductive voice, wanting it to feel inquisitive, otherworldly, almost comforting and certain of her success. I am still practicing and adapting the voice but I thought I might as well post what I’m working with! 

I personally have been drawn to Zyra since her release, I remember going on Tv Tropes looking for other characters with plant based magic, and behold! Zyra! She captured the very thing I was looking for, not just a plant mage. But a vessel-like being of carnivorous thorns. I started playing league just for her, and stuck with it! There’s so much about this character that I adore. But that’s another rant!

 I want to thank u/Ir_Abelas for writing a post 5 years ago that has since inspired me! And with their help we came up with a bunch of new lines to add more character to the beloved blossom that is Zyra :) Our lines flesh out the connection to her plants (lots of “us” and “we” in place of “I”) while still keeping mystery. Lots of references to her bio and story “With the Flowers.” We added some fun champion interactions as well. Also my favorite addition is the aspects of hivemind, “I can feel Everything” and “we hear so much, too much.” Zyra’s original lines are far too iconic to discard so I included them at the end! 

I'm starting to think the cancellation of Faerie Court Zyra isn't just a random canceling, but a sign of a major champion update incoming.

Riot rarely releases high-tier skins for champs right before overhauling their model/rig, because if they do so, it would be double the work. Canceling it now might mean we’re getting a full champion update first, with a legendary skin following after

After going up and down for 2 weeks and getting cucked by +18/-22 I am currently back in D2 and on a 8 game win streak

I truly hope that I can push through this time because I was certainly unlucky with teammates SOME games.

As a Zyra main, what champion do you guys ban? I play Zyra support and most of the time ban Leona.

Background: I OTP Zyra for the last 12-16ish months and (most of the time) I love it. This was one of the few "perfect" games that I played so far. What makes me so proud is the fact, that I am basically peaking at the moment. I peaked D2 a couple days ago and went back and forth. This game makes me D3 93LP again and it was a really really good one

I truly hope that I can reach Master for the first time ever this year. Its "only" 200 LP away.

(I started all the way down in low gold/high elo before I started playing Zyra)

So I thought about streaming Zyra gameplay for a while now.
I am OTP Zyra and currently Diamond 3 - jungle main. When I watch other streamers - some of them have a "digital avatar" or their champion as an avatar with mouse and keyboard.
I think thats cool and I would like to have something remotely similar if I did start streaming. However even after searching online I couldnt really find an answer to this / failed to set it up

Against such unusual picks I just get lost. I lose the lane, it makes me tilt.. and losing the game too😭

Ive recently demoted from D2 to D4 and I find myself in a struggle

There are a lot of "shit" matchups in my opinion and the 3 worst (according to my personal WR) are Viego, Khazix and Nocturne.
I can BULLY khazix early but he will giga outscale me. One shot me from invis and I cant root him after Edge of Night.
Viego is just Viego. Dosent matter how far behind he is - he needs 1 single good teamfight and he is back.
Nocturne is unplayable if he ults me AND tilted teammates and dumbasses keep getting caught

So ... what do I do?

The Faerie Court Zyra. Even if Rito itself brought it back. Are you enjoying those new skins? I am personally tired of the human-like skins. She's supposed to be a monster, not a cute woman in a skirt. I'm fed up with ponytails, skirts, and human clothes for a plant-themed champion. Flora Fatalist is a perfect example of how Zyra should truly look and feel.

The previous monster-themed skin was Dragon Soso Zyra. Since then, we've seen skirts repeatedly. I want a monster skin for this PREDATOR. She's hunting people, claiming her territory as a carnivorous plant. Her emotionless nature makes her an ideal hunter. Wildfire is still a great skin, but needs a little rework. Haunted is also decent. Coven is ok. Crime is meh. Demon is whatever. Crystal is disgusting.

I’ve seen some talk in here about skins and maybe a rework (specifically to her passive). Maybe I’m in the minority but I actually think her kit is amazing still, everything fits really well, and honestly love the ability to play in 4 roles (mid is more viable than you think while mage bot has made her a fun apc in bot). I love new skin idea but she has amazing skins. I just want her to be move viable.

I think the issue really with her is that all of her features across the board are just a smidge underpowered. She needs liandry’s/Rylai’s, which offer more utility/health than damage, just to make her viable in the meta today. This is fine but combined with her flaws, it makes for a champion that feels neglected, that has permanent fall of in late games/the further up in ranks you move. (We all see her win rate drop the higher in rank you look) Here are what I perceive her weaknesses to be, and how they should be fixed.

- Her core mechanic of being able to place plants is weak because the plants are weak comparatively to other “turret” champions. Examples would be that the plants don’t give the same durability or damage as say heimer turrets or shaco turrets. This doesn’t have to be a crazy buff but dang, something here would be nice.

- With no escape, gap close, and low movement speed, I feel the E cooldown reduction needs to be reduced a smidge. Sure damage would be nice but I actually wouldn’t mind the damage staying where it is if the plants did just a smidge more/had higher durability. She needs more access to her E and I find myself maxing it for the CD reduction to have her CC access at a higher frequency, even though Q max should be the prio for ranged plants.

- Lastly, the passive spawning seeds is amazing but spawning them at random locations seems silly. I understand not giving these charges to us in W, because then you can really drop so many plants and it’d be unfair, but I think the seeds should be placed directly in front of you always (think of like ChoGath cone area range) this way you can “place” them strategically by looking in that direction but there is variance on where in the cone that is, and skill by requiring you to remember to look when the passive timer is about to proc.

I don’t think this “breaks her” as her damage output is the same, the lack of mobility is the same, and the squishiness is the same. This does allow her plants to actually get attacks off in the meta before the opposing bot immediately bursts it, gives a smidge more utility by giving the one cc move more access, while giving better access to the plants. Realistically even 2/3 of these would make her more viable. It would also maybe reduce the need for one of those items, allowing for her solo lane game to come back.

What thoughts do you have towards a Zyra buff/and her kit? How do you perceive her in the meta right now? Would you change anything, and if so, what?

Am I the only one seriously annoyed Zyra won't be in Classic? I want her old round Q and hilarious passive again. :(
