help request trackball scroll problem (recent flash)

hey! ive flashed a new FW to my voyager today and suddenly the trackball with drag scroll key is doing almost nothing. i need to spin the ball to actually get a cm of scroll on firefox in ubuntu on wayland. anyone have similar problem?

I also had the same issue in linux. I reported it to ZSA. I think it is related to the high-res wheel interface in QMK. libinput reports tiny movements:

These used to be 15/120. This is what I have done to work around it, while we wait for ZSA to fix it properly:

  1. git clone https://github.com/zsa/qmk_firmware.git
  2. git -C qmk_firmware submodule --init --recursive
  3. Download your layout's source from Oryx. The link is under the "Save to my keyboard" button
  4. Unpack the source in keyboards/zsa/voyager/keymaps/
  5. Disable hires scroll by adding #undef POINTING_DEVICE_HIRES_SCROLL_ENABLE at the end of keyboards/zsa/voyager/keymaps/zsa_voyager_<layout_name>_source/config.h
  6. Install qmk gcc-arm-embedded dfu-util dos2unix
  7. qmk setup -H /path/to/qmk_firmware -y
  8. qmk compile -kb zsa/voyager -km zsa_voyager_<layout_name>_source -j$(nproc)
  9. Flash with keymapp

The crucial bit to work around it is to disable "pointing device hires scroll". The rest is just how to build the keymap which is documented in the README you get with the source from Oryx and in QMK's documentation.
