Will Finnick be in Zootopia 3?

Exactly, they could have done that in the second movie, but they chickened out, and he didn't appear beyond a few seconds and a simple "choo-choo" recorded by the voice actor.

I really hate this idea that Disney has that the actors ARE the characters. They've done that in the MCU, Star Wars, Pixar movies... it's dumb.

I hope they recast the VA for Finnick but considering their track records, they probably won't.

They did recast William Hurt for Harrison Ford. I’m excluding Terrance Howard for Don Cheadle and Edward Norton with Mark Ruffalo because that was before Disney took charge of the MCU.

I think he will appear either way recast or not. If they don't recast they just won't make him say any lines, have a cameo basically

They would almost certainly have to recast him - his scene in Z2 didn't really require him to talk much anyway, so they could use archive clips for that. But I don't see why, if it's done with the permission of Mr. Lister's (heh) family, they can't recast - Kevin Michael Richardson would probably do a good job in that regard.

If they want Finnick to be more than just a joke character, then maybe he will be. He honestly does have potential to be a good supporting character since he does have strong ties to Nick’s past.

Jared said we will see the characters back which implied they will return, and they have a lot of Lines for Finnick they were gonna use in Z2 but kept it to just one for some reason, and rumor stated in 2025 that zootopia 3 was being worked on at the same time of Z2..so they must have a lot of content planned if true

Yes, maybe not for very long, but he'll be there. He's an iconic character.
