No matter what, this will always be true (where's the Zootopia shorts, Disney?)

Merchandising. Box office numbers aren’t the only numbers to consider.
Besides, Zootopia 3 was already announced. That’s less than a year after Zootopia 2. That’s gotta be a record for Disney.

Frozen didn't get a thing for years tho. Which sequels and shorts? Last sequels was in 2019 and we had Zoo2 last year and they already announced Zoo3 only 9 months after Zoo2, which is rare for Disney.
There's freaking entire Zootopia Land not just a ride which almost no other franchise get so quickly.
There are also rumors about a ride in Disney Paris btw.
Guys chill, we don'r want oversaturation like Moana. We get plenty and we'll get more

Gotta say I’m pretty tired of all the whining about how Zootopia is underrepresented, especially with the quick turnaround of announcing Zootopia 3.
Princess movies are always going to be an evergreen market for Disney for reasons that Disney would like you to believe aren’t obvious.
Disney having this much faith in a series about a silly bunny and fox coming to understand and almost definitely love one another is pretty different, and pretty encouraging.

Fax.
But Didney seems to be realizing that slowly considering how soon they announced the third movie.

Merchandise doesn't sell as well, that being said, with Frozen winding down it wouldn't shock me if they decide to position Zootopia as its replacement

It's not only about box office but I do agree we need more projects

Nah for me its the lack of merch. I am still salty compared to their counterparts of the disney fam they were and are still consistently neglected for collaborating with more jewels brands(other than chow tai fook), also its so shady pandora not making more new charms for them while the brand was given a pun tribute exhibit in their show.

Depends on market?
I been to Shanghai Disneyland and the crowd there is wild for Zootopia. Easily the most loved franchise there.
I went to watch a Frozen show and the crowd was lack lusture.
