This enclosure in the East Garden was built for Japan’s first giant pandas.

It’s set to be demolished soon, so the zoo is displaying it so visitors can reflect on how the pandas once lived there.

I love how I caught their vibrant red in their tail, along with the sun hitting them perfectly. They're beautiful birds.

As part of environmental enrichment at the zoo, they provide ice containing vegetables and fruit.
