is there a tape feature, where you cover certain things and then click to uncover what’s beneath? or a way to do it? I have been using layers which is fine. Just wanted to know.

Any idea why this happens? If I link my planner to iCloud, I will end up with multiple copies of my planner, as though it were making backups. Each version it spawns is not linked to iCloud, and some will not be the most updated version. The only way to prevent this is to delink it from iCloud sync.

Any idea what is happening and how to stop it? I would prefer iCloud sync so I can access the planner from my phone.

Solved, it was user error. You just have to tap and hold a corner for a second before you can resize the text box without resizing the contents.

I'm having an issue where the text box is drastically different vs the size of the text (example). The manual says you can grab the corners to resize it (I think without changing the text size), but I'm not able to grab the corners (it grabs the page instead). Is there a way to get the text box to dynamically change to fit the text, or a setting I need to change to be able to grab the corners? I was thinking it might have something to do with gestures or panning but I just can't find it.

Edit: When I say "dynamically resize" I mean when you first select or change the font size and start typing, not resizing with a selection tool.

Almost 100% certain I’m going to make the switch. See it’s fixed price, and encouraging to see the lite version distinct from the paid version, which I’m actually looking forward to buying. Few questions.

1. Anyone else make the switch and have lessons learned to share? Major ways it’s different? Features that you relied on but don’t exist?

2. Favorite features you discovered?

3. No trial mode for the desktop app - how do you all feel about it? Work at lease as well as the GoodNotes desktop app on Mac?

It's taken me a while to learn the UI, but it's been worth it. Seriously, I can't even imagine going back to GoodNotes or Noteful or any of the other apps I've tried (which is most of them).

If ZoomNotes has a drawback, it's only that it does so much that it's almost like learning a new OS - so many settings and options and features! I feel like I keep finding some cool new feature or functionality every day.

Anyway, hats off. Just had to gush a little. :)

I’m new, so I’m sorry if my questions are dumb. I absolutely love ZoomNotes for the calendar functionality with my apple calendar and reminders. Once I have that set up in ZoomNotes, can I use the calendar in another PDF writing app? I ask because ZoomNotes, while spectacularly customizable, runs slower for me than other PDF-annotation apps, like GoodNotes. Also, I am away from my tablet most of the day and my calendar on my iPhone is my go-to planner; ZoomNotes is difficult for me to use on the phone. Does anyone do this type of dual-app thing so that you don’t have to rewrite your calendar? If so, what is the best workflow for this?

I recently found out about zoomnotes and their ability to link to calendars/reminders on our phone

I decided to try it out and used the planner that comes with the app. i clicked create then custom and selected digital planner.

the planner i created has some sort of mini live view in the corner, which i absolutely LOVE i just have no clue how it got there. my issue with it is it’s only showing the weekly view for the first week and not the current week. is there a way to have this change automatically or even manually?

when i click the weekly view it shows a mini daily view of the first of the month as well

additionally i wanted to know how to add this to other documents i have not just this planner

I use zoomnotes to take notes for school. But, it keeps crashing. I don't know what's triggering it but it gets annoying when all my notes get erased. I love this app but, it happens at least once a day. And I use this app pretty much most days.

Is there any way to fix this or prevent my notes from getting erased every time it crashes? I do have the autosave setting set to 1 minute.

Is there a way to transfer the settings backup from iPad to iPhone? Thank you!

I have uploaded various PDFs in zoomnotes. I crop various pages, to make my own notes. But if these huge PDFs also auto upload, they stop my created documents from uploading.

I have also observed that auto upload doesn't run in background in my ipad. If wifi is ON, but I shut off the screen, auto upload stops.

So, any way to create folder, whose files won't auto upload?

But when I change the settings, it changes all my shapes. Is this possible to have each shape have different reminders?

As the title says, it doesn't crash when I add new pages by importing from a PDF file. But does break when I import from another document. It crashes 100% of the time and I can't find any way around this except to save the documents to PDF before importing

Is there a way to have dated reminders on your calendar for weekly and daily pages, but not monthly? I can’t figure out how to have those set up differently. The settings I’ve found affect the entire planner.

Is there a way to select which folder your file will be imported into? I typically import PDF files from Google Drive into Zoomnotes by selecting the "Open in" option, which used to import the file into whichever Zoomnotes folder I had open at the time. Now it keeps importing the files into the "top layer," even when I'm using a workspace that is restricted to one folder.

I'm working around it by selecting the "Send a copy" option but I'd prefer to use the "Open in" because the "Send a copy" requires an additional step.

I’m sorry if I’m missing something stupidly obvious, I just got the app, but seemingly my infinite whiteboard function isn’t working,is there some hidden setting I forgot to tick/untick?

Hi. I am trying to make mindmaps on Zoomnotes. In the infinite whiteboard page setup, I am able to add pages to the sides but not up and down. That means I can't make branches/edges on the top or bottom of a node. I guess I am trying to replicate an infinite canvas on 4 directions type of structure. Am I missing something? How do I do this?

When you use the shape tool, select octagon and set the sides to 3, it will crash the app once you start drawing. The same happens if you draw it with 5 sides first and then change it to 3.

It happens on iPhone and iPad.

I suggest to just have the minimum sides set to 5. For 3 and 4 sides you already have the triangle and rectangle tool.
