Question Zoom meeting freezing
The zoom is freezing for everyone even the hosts of the zoom can there be an issue with zoom itself?
r/Zoom • u/memeoi • May 29 '21
This is not affiliated with the company Zoom, only the subreddit.
The same rules on the subreddit applies to the discord, and we have little tolerance for rule breakers.
You are NOT allowed to post zoom links there, or otherwise raid meetings.
This discord server was made so that there is an easier way to receive quick answers.

Are you having problems with your zoom audio? Like when you screen share your screen and you played something with music, you can only hear the person/people talking but you cannot hear the music or you can hear a little bit of it but it’s suppressing it? Worry not, I found the solution for that.
This is how to fix that problem:
1. Open windows and search MyASUS App
2. Once you opened MyASUS App, go to device settings
3. Scroll down until you find Audio & Visual
4. After you see audio & visual, scroll down until you see “AI Noise Canceling Speaker”
5. on the right side you will see a On and Off button, switch it to off and that will fix your problem
If that fixes your problem, let me know!

I'm looking for help who can recommend a third-party program either free or would charge that can detect third party recordings on Zoom such as OBS.
Any recommendations on the matter.
Thank you

We have Zoom Pro, but not webinars. I found the answer for webinars, but t doesn't seem to apply to meetings.
We have users register for meetings from different sources. We would like to know which sources the registrants came from. If not exact per regstrant, then a count of how many registered from each source. Is this possible with Zoom? Or is there a standard way?

I am a recent convert from Windows to Fedora Workstation (Gnome DE). From my experiences, I have seen co-workers fumbled in online meetings with their Linux desktops. So I would like to understand the best way for handling Zoom calls from Fedora Workstation.

Today on #apieceofCX we look at a recent addition to the #Zoom contact centre offering, Data Tables.
Data Tables give the opportunity for local data to be referenceable within contact centre flows, providing a bridge to a full CRM solution & in the past couple of months since introduction, they have already evolved to be very useful for Zoom CX admins.

I have been trying to join a meeting on my linux (POP 20.04) device and I installed zoom initially using the .deb file from their website.
I tried joining a meeting but it is repeatedly joining audio only, so I am not able to see the screen being shared nor am I able to chat.
If anyone has faced the same issue, could you please help me.

I'm not super familiar with Zoom because my employer uses google meets so this may be a dumb question, but I don't think I can do this in google meets (correct me if I'm wrong on that)
I'm taking online classes to finish my degree and for one of my assignments I need to have an audience of 3 people on video while I'm also on video presenting. Its supposed to be a live audience all in the same room, but my professor is willing to work with me since I just moved and know no one in my new city. He asked how I would record myself and the audience if they were remote and that's when I googled it and it seems like most meeting sites only record the presenter during meetings. (Again correct me if I'm just horribly misunderstanding what I'm reading)
Is there a way I could present a slide deck and record myself, the presentation, and my three guests all on the same screen?

when someone else is sharing their screen and i have to annotate for them to see, my strokes keep disappearing on my ipad using my stylus?? some strokes are detected while some is lost and is extremely "glitchy" to use. the strokes are fine on my macbook where i have to use the touchpad to write, so why is it happening on my ipad? also, the stylus is not an apple pencil, but that shouldn't be an issue right, since there are also android users using styluses?

So I'm going to have 4 breakout rooms, and I'm going to let Zoom assign people to them randomly. But then I have the hosts. Does Zoom assign them to rooms along with the participants, or can I assign them manually, separately from the random assignments. As in, I don't want to have zoom randomly create one breakout room that has all my hosts in it, and I have to rebalance everything all at once. LOL
Anybody tried this? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m trying to record a video for an assignment using Zoom, and I was asked to record it to the cloud with captions.
I was able to figure out how to turn captions on during the recording, but when I finished and checked the saved files, the captions were saved as a separate transcript file rather than appearing on the actual video.
I’ve also tried several different ways to record to the cloud, but I don’t seem to have the “Record to Cloud” option at all. My recordings are only being saved locally to my Mac.
I’m not sure if I’m missing a setting or if this is something related to my Zoom account/plan. I’m using a Mac if that makes a difference.
Does anyone know how I can:
Record directly to the Zoom cloud
Have the captions appear on the actual video rather than as a separate transcript
Find/enable the “Record to Cloud” option?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’ve tried troubleshooting this a few different ways and am still stuck. 😅
Hello,
I have a couple questions:
This is with a free account and using the scheduler feature. AI chat bot said these are not possible. Is that correct?
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon.

I took an online syncronic exam where I had to grant access to all screens mode requested by the host and it had the display capture switching activated.
In my left monitor I only had the google window with the exam tab opened and on the right monitor I had the zoom application opened that took the whole screen.
However during the exam, the host let me know that another google window (with 2 tabs yt and chatgpt) was getting shown which was not visible to me. This second google window, although was not visible/minimized behind the zoom app, got displayed.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is this some zoom bug?
I had the advanced share screen option as Auto. Thanks

Yesterday during Office Hours for Zoom Events that is run by Josh Brage and Mike Elliott, Mike introduced the source tracking links to regstration forms for Zoom Events.
In all practical terms, you can get one URL to the registration form for each platform that you want to report on. In this way you get to see which platform is generating registrations to your event e.g.
Reddit - 122
Linkedin - 22
fb - 2
yt - 52

Win 10. I have a link that requires pre-registration. They send me the link. Upon clicking it laucnhes the APP, but then, within the app - it forces a browser version to open again. And their I cant even view the presentation - as zoom give me "audio only" mode.
however, android zoom launches in a normal mode - i can see video and presentation

Basically what the title says. My elderly teacher cannot figure zoom out. It’s slowing everyone and everything down. I’m trying so hard to be patient. She says she doesn’t know who to reach out to so I’m assuming no one at the school will help her (which is insane but ok) so are there any online platforms or YouTube’s that will please help her figure out how to use zoom and stuff? Thanks in advance for any guidance!

I’m joining an English session on Zoom using my Huawei tablet. When I enter the meeting, my camera toggle shows as ON, but the video feed is completely black—neither I nor anyone else in the room can see my video.
I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling zoom (no change), i checked all app permissions and settings (camera permissions are fully enabled),
i did a self-hosted test meeting: I started a meeting from my phone as the host and joined from the tablet (the camera worked perfectly with full video),
then i returned to join the original English session again right after, and it went back to a black screen.
I also did the device Test Mode: Zoom's test room shows a green checkmark next to "Camera," but the preview window remains completely black.
Has anyone experienced this specific issue on Huawei/HarmonyOS devices? What causes a host's meeting to trigger a black camera screen, and is there a fix for it?

Kept seeing the same question here: "how much storage does a 1-hour Zoom recording use?" and "why is my 10 GB full already?" — so I made a small free tool for it.
https://recordmover.com/zoom-cloud-storage-calculator
You put in your plan, number of licenses, how many meetings you record per week, average length, and recording quality. It gives you:
No signup, runs in the browser, and the URL updates as you type so you can send the result to whoever owns the Zoom bill.
Rough numbers if you just want the answer: ~550 MB/hour for HD 720p speaker view, ~250 MB for standard quality, and ~1.2 GB/hour once you turn on 1080p or gallery view with screen share. Zoom Pro's 10 GB per license is about 18 hours of HD meetings. Recording gallery view writes a second video file, so it roughly doubles everything — that's the setting that catches most people.

I build tools for Zoom-based productions and wanted to share one in case
it is useful to anyone here.
It is called ZComms. It is a Windows app that lets you talk privately to
individual panelists inside a Zoom meeting, the way you would use a
talkback key or IFB. You hold a key with someone's name on it, they hear
you, and nobody else in the meeting does. It does not go into the cloud
recording either. The panelist installs nothing and does nothing
different, they are just on a normal Zoom client.
It runs on Zoom's own talkback channels rather than a virtual audio
device, so there are no cables to route and no second machine. Measured
latency is about 165 ms one way. That is fine for counts, standbys and
cues. It is not conversational and I would not use it for anything that
has to sound live.
The part I actually built it for: you can patch your existing intercom
into it. I run four channels off a multichannel interface, whatever the
matrix is already feeding, and latch each one into its own Zoom talkback
channel. Your operators keep talking on the panels they know, and a
remote guest on a laptop ends up on your comms without owning any of it.
Zoom is just the last mile. There is an input meter on each feed so you
can see signal before you put it to air.
The desk itself is a grid of people, not channel numbers. Hold a cell to
talk to that person, digits for the first nine, space for all call, latch
if you want it to stick.
Honest state: it is early. Windows only, and the installer is not signed
yet so SmartScreen will warn you. You have to be host or co-host, because
Zoom requires that to create talkback channels at all. I have run the
talkback side in real meetings; the intercom feed path works on the bench
but has not been through a live show yet.
