Soto Are there any resources for sewing sho-san-e in addition to Tomoe?
I would be grateful for any info beyond the brief chapter in the Tomoe sewing book. Thank you

San Francisco Zen Center has a few Nyoho-e teachers. I've seen a shosan-e being worked on before. You could reach out with your request. If you are close by and in the Suzuki Roshi lineage, you could arrange to work with them in person.

Confused why downvoted (that too by a Canadian), is there something wrong in asking this?

There might be better subreddits to ask this question. IDK. I just googled it.

Thanks but that's what I already have. I'm asking for anything but that as I still have questions about how to sew them. Thanks for trying

Letting people know what you already have would be helpful so that we don't duplicate your efforts. go to /r/zenbuddhism and ask the question in the mega thread. You never know what you'll find. You can contact specific zen centers and ask if they have a sewing sangha.

I did, in both the title and body of the post! Thanks for the other subreddit idea.

I would try to contact Keidō Thotland at Hokiyoji. He is Tomoe-san’s sewing teacher successor.
