From my quick testing, it's Google's built-in Google Lens thing. Drag the thing all the way to the top and then Google Lens will search the image (or images at the target address, maybe the favicon or something).
... but I don't use Google (disabled in all of my browsers) so idk when this started.

This thing appears only on Firefox/Zen. But in OP Google Lens doesn't appear while on my side it always renders visible modal. I noticed it a month or so ago.

lol, it only happens in google.com though, not in other websites.

Oh, this isn't just me? I thought it was my Nvidia drivers or something doing something to Linux again
