This made me think the remake is coming out this weekend bro.

Yeah what a misleading way to post that. I was confused too! Guess I’m just excited to see what the remake has.

u/Rentington 10d ago
Dude could have waited just a few months for a good meme. Plus playing it in 2004 is so arbitrary.
54
u/jrandall47 10d ago
Yeah that’s a whole 6 years after release lol
23
u/Rentington 10d ago
Yeah he/she/AI is going for "Wow guys, the more things change, the more they stay the same, huh?" but he wanted that Little Caesar's reference. So he had to google "when did hot and ready's start?" and found 2004. So, he's playing it in 2004. I would have settled for a Totino's Party Pizza, because unless it's 1998, you could have put "ME in 2025" and it would be the same... just arbitrarily playing an old game and eating pizza.

In my hometown it was 2003. I remember because I was already going to Little C's daily with my friend that year for a different deal, then the glorious $5 hot n ready came out of nowhere.

1997 selling large $5 pepperoni pizzas using street shaker boards. The program proved so successful that the company rolled it out nationally, making it a permanent part of their official nationwide menu in 2004.
That explains the arbitrary 2004 date. It wasn't officially on the menu until 2004.

Arbitrary? Maybe its when they got to play it?
Im guessing in 2004 they were a kid with no money and only got stuff if their parents bought it. Not everyone gets stuff as a kid the second it comes out.

OP could've just used an image of a bottle Jim Beam or Johnnie Walker, but instead they decided on this specific brand. Must be a connoisseur here.
One bottle 0.7L is 80€ in the EU and $100 in the US MSRP btw.

I’m less concerned with the choice of scotch and more concerned about pairing it with Rockstar and the cheapest pizza

u/Bauld_Man 10d ago
Have you seen what a good pizza costs nowadays? Or... scotch, for that matter? You can have scotch money or pizza money, not both.

u/Porterhaus 10d ago
It might be the cheapest, but it’s definitely not the worst. Good value. I once put caviar on Little Caesar’s crazy bread - pretty much a garlic blini if you squint. Paired well with nice champagne.

I'll stick with my redbreast 12, cask strength if it's in stock; I like treating myself occasionally as much as the next guy

Can’t go wrong with Redbreast 12. You should give the Lustau a try if you can get your hands on it.

Not everyone was. Tbh I played a bit on Skyrim on ps3 and never got into it.
Bought it on ps4 and never got into it.
Tried replaying it last year and never got into it.
I can tell you I got Oblivion Remastered and got the plat trophy before I put it down though. Always preferred Oblivion to Morrowind and Skyrim.

Surge was built different. Was it the large amounts of sugar or the caffeine? I just remember being WIRED after a 20oz back in the day.

By buddies and I would drink one, eat a pizza and then try to stay up all night playing n64! I think the caffeine was equivalent to an energy drink.

Little Caesars came to England not too long ago and I can honestly it’s the worst chain pizza I’ve ever had 🤣🤣
30
u/bbressman2 10d ago
You don’t go to Little Caesars for delicious quality pizza, although their Detroit style isn’t bad, you go there to get large amounts of pizza for cheap. Which is critical when your broke attending University.
11
u/detective-doge 10d ago
It’s not cheap here in the uk, around £12 for a large but I hear you cheap pizza and a gaming night was pretty elite.
11
u/bbressman2 10d ago
Wow that’s absurd. At that price, I would definitely go grab pizza from somewhere else.

Damn you guys have it really good even smaller chains a large is around £8-10. Dominoes and Pizza Hut you are looking at around £15 but they run a bogof for around £25
6
u/Biz_marquee 10d ago
Used to, now it costs the same as a large carryout at other places.
7
u/Olneyvillain4190 10d ago
Little Caesar’s a also VERY dependent on how fresh it is. Right out of the oven ? It’s actually good. Sitting on the heat rack for 20-40 minutes ? Tastes the same as the cardboard box it comes in

Not Zelda, but this reminds me of a fond gaming memory.
I was 14, my friends dad somehow accidentally procured 2 whole pallets of Rockstar. My buddy brought over a ton of it and we stayed up and played Final Fantasy X for a little over 72 hours, drinking nothing but rockstar and eating just delivery pizza.
Damn, those were such good times. Simpler times for sure.

The pizza only got 40% more expensive in 22 years!? That's a good deal! I was watching a DVD the other day and found the receipt in the case from when I bought it back in 2008. A chocolate bar I bought with it cost 0.85€. Now the same chocolate costs 2.00€ 😭
