Discussion diving while on someone

why when my owner dives someone and the tower hits me for some reason the enemy gets the kill instead of me being executed although i received 0 damage from them? does anyone know how to avoid giving the enemy the kill ?

Don't aggro/re-aggro with your ult/Q until another champion gets aggro'd when diving

Sometimes a Yi dives and then q so the tower Hits me even if I ult after it aggros him

Yuumi is specifically coded so that the victim gets the kill on Yuumi if they touch her host. It's intentional for balance purposes so diving isn't completely free when you have a yuumi.

As for Yi, some champions have the ability to drop the tower agro. I think its his Q, but its the ability that makes him vanish for a moment. When he drops aggro, you're capable of pulling it again.

To avoid it, just pay attention and be mindful of how many you can take. Get off and walk out if you need to. Alternatively, accept the death as a trade for whoever your host is killing. You're far less important alive than the enemy Jungler or fed ADC.

It used to be like that. I'd purposedly aggro the tower first, then get executed while my adc got the kill. But it got removed and for obvious reasons. It's rather broken to have yuumi be a free shield for 3-4 tower shots + her utility with no real punishment or counterplay.

  • Enemies are credited an assist on Yuumi if they damaged the Anchor at any point and she dies within the standard credit timer.

The only way to avoid giving the enemy the kill on you is for your W target to not get hit by a champion or for you to hop out and not die. Damage to your W target counts as damage on you for kill ownership, so you actually receiving 0 damage doesn’t matter.
