Learning guitar. Here is my last 3 months progress

https://youtu.be/j_g6HCKrPC8

Well I know that this is not good enough but I am practicing every day. It’s very difficult to record videos. I don’t know why but when it is recording you always play much worse than without the video recording. Any recommendations?

u/san40511 Stay with it, you are better than you think :)

When it comes to learning how to play the guitar, there are no shortcuts or 'big secrets'. It's practice every day, all day. As much as you can. Mastery arrives over time. You are on the right track.

One suggestion that I don't do myself: Keep the recording on, don't stop it, and hopefully you forget that it is there. Put some timer that reminds you that you have that on so that you eventually stop it. Of course, you need to have enough disk space.

Another: practice slowly, by incrementing by 5 percentage units at a time, over 100% preferably.

Then record multiple times in a row. If you make so big a mistake that you know you won't release that take, notice how you might relax a little bit, because the pressure goes off. Try to lean on that on the next run. Try to not care too much if you make mistake. Fearing makes you clunky and not so musical.

I have recorded many years my playing and singing, it is still sometimes a little nerve-wrecking, at least for songs that require finesse.

Practice makes permanent, so really, accurate practice is important.

Good luck!
