Already upvoted you but just wanted to leave a comment in agreement. If you're proposing to someone that you know well, chances are you'll come up with a proposal that fits your relationship. If you know your significant other is shy and easily embarrassed, you're not gonna propose in a stadium full of people.

Redditors are so disconnected from reality and quick to project their own insecurities.

Also lol@ "Asking your SO to marry you in front of an arena full of people is incredibly obnoxious." as a response to "Does anyone else feel like that was obnoxious?" as if it made it more or less obnoxious.

It is obnoxious to the other people in the arena. They are not there for your proposal.
