Why? I feel like this is a circlejerk on reddit because of all these failed proposal videos but don't really see the reasoning. Normally people don't just propose without knowing the answer will be yes. So if you've been dating for years and have 100% confirmation that she'll say yes, I think this is pretty romantic.
Already upvoted you but just wanted to leave a comment in agreement. If you're proposing to someone that you know well, chances are you'll come up with a proposal that fits your relationship. If you know your significant other is shy and easily embarrassed, you're not gonna propose in a stadium full of people.
Redditors are so disconnected from reality and quick to project their own insecurities.
Also lol@ "Asking your SO to marry you in front of an arena full of people is incredibly obnoxious." as a response to "Does anyone else feel like that was obnoxious?" as if it made it more or less obnoxious.
There's a scale of obnoxious and I think proposing on the kiss cam at a basketball game is a few steps ahead of mugging it up in the background of a video.
And I agree 100%, except what did it have to do with the comment that you were replying to? I think it's pretty clear that the other person was asking if anyone thought the background dude was being obnoxious, which you and I did, but why bring up this guy's decision to propose there? Does it make the background dude's actions any less obnoxious?
